Smash The House have once again shown their adaptability and impressive knowledge of the changing landscape of music with the announcement of Smash Deep, the latest sublabel to launch in recent months, and the first release comes in the form of ‘Get High’ from the mysterious ShyGhy. The fledgling label makes its intentions clear with this first single, presenting a single which displays a clarity and smoothness that is impressive, and a groove that fans of deeper sounds and Smash The House alike are guaranteed to enjoy in equal measure. 

Low slung, halftime drums set the pace, joined by the catchy pitched vocal stabs that form the bulk of the harmony. A main topline washes over the track, drenched in reverb, an effect that is used in abundance and in a way which fills the track expertly. A pumping pad provides the groove, as a sparse combination of sounds fill the sound space through intricate production techniques.

Smash Deep is off to a strong start with ‘Get High’, setting the bar for quality very high, as you’d expect from any release linked to Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s Smash The House label. Fans are left excited about what is to come from the label and from this fledgling artist, who both shine on this release. Grab your copy of ‘Get High’ when it is released, 22nd May via Smash Deep!
