This is still a work in progress, but I recently discovered JPKy on soundcloud thanks to Moonboy..or maybe it was Bishu...either way fkn stellar bro. Seriously check out his sh*t it's amazing. His remix of Link Up made me want to remix it, so I did. Yes, a remix of a remix...wuuutt?!?!... His is way better, but in Tripwave fashion; I turned it into techno/electro breaks. I couldn't find a way to make the intro different, so I left his original and added some elements, then went fully insane on chopping up the stereo track. No stems. Enjoy :) comment below!

This project has been a blast and a half! I can't say enough about the amount of support and help I've received along the way and I must say I feel truly blessed to have every one of you. 
One of my inspirations in music and one of my first exposures to EDM was through movies, in particular movies like Matrix 2, the underground rave scene and Blade 3, running around listening to trance killing vampires, you know? And that's kind of the direction I see my music going. In particular, this project has a very "fight scene" kind of vibe, like B.O.S.S. aka Battle on Steam Ship, for example, I can actually visualize the whole story of an epic final battle between two rivals like Naruto and Sasuke.

TRAP HISTORY LIVE @ DIGITAL MIRAGE FRIENDSGIVING

My first influences in music were bands like Trapt, Linkin Park, System of a Down, etc. My first concert was Korn with Five Finger Death Punch opening. Somewhere down the road, whenever I listened to the Linkin Park/Jay-Z collaboration album, I think my soul forever switched to hip-hop. I experimented listening to artists like Common, Consequence, Talib Kweli. I really enjoyed Kanye West and Kid Cudi. I still listen to A Kid Named Cudi sometimes. 
I'll argue with you on who the most influential artist over the past decade has been, 
I'll argue with you over the effects of hip-hop as a means of social change, 
I'll argue with you about anything hip-hop cause that's what I'm passionate about. 
And somewhere along the way, I decided, I can't rap so..... I gotta do something else if I want to include myself in that world, in that culture. 

So, I started making beats back in 2013-2014, inspired by some friends who were experimenting with Logic Pro, which would become my first DAW as well. I have since gone to school for an Audio Associate's in Applied Science and will complete an Audio Bachelor of Applied Science this December, so now I have a good understanding of Ableton and Pro Tools Certified. I couldn't have done any of it without the support of my family, though most of all loving wife, my 8-year-old son and our two pups. 

I spent a lot of my younger days (or simply before I met my wife) drinking, partying, and going to shows, primarily EDM shows. But most specifically, TRVP EDM shows. And if I'm being honest, one of my true passions lie in producing those EDM infused Hip-Hop tracks, like Carnage ft Migos - Bricks or The Game ft Skrillex - El Chapo. So if you're an artist or producer that's read this far, hit me up for real. Don't be scared, I just wanna make great music and put it out there for the world to hear and vibe with it.
