‘Mirage’ is the new single from German producer Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets. Released this November on Eskimo Recordings, ‘Mirage’ continues Bernhardt’s winning streak that has made him one of the hottest nu-disco/house producers around, clocking up more than 20 million plays on Spotify alone in the past few years.
 
Following on from this summer’s Nordic themed hit ‘Northern Lights’, Bernhardt has once again looked to Scandinavia for inspiration. “I think this might be the hookiest track I have made so far,” explains Bernhardt. “But then you start looking for the best possible topline which, of course, can be like searching for the Holy Grail, but on a trip to Stockholm at last it all came together. BOOM! You can definitely hear the strong Swedish pop influence in it. I can’t wait to see how people will react to it.”
 
Built upon a gentle bed of bubbling synths, delicate guitar licks and laidback beats ‘Mirage’ is classic Satin Jackets, the song’s beautiful melodies the perfect setting for the bittersweet lovelorn lyrics that tell of a moment of self-realisation at the end of a relationship. It’s fair to say that heartbreak has rarely sounded so good.

'Just Like You' is the final single to be taken from Satin Jackets’ second album, 'Solar Nights' and sees German producer Tim Bernhardt deliver yet another leftfield pop gem, full of delicate synths and crystalline vocals that look north to Scandinavia for musical inspiration.

With 'Solar Nights' Tim had sought to emulate his heroes like Nile Rogers and bring an ultra-glossy sheen to his productions, in his own words to make music that sounds "like a fashion magazine's cover", and 'Just Like You' manages that in fine style. Every single note sparkles as if coated in a glossy sheen and captures the mood as perfectly as any Annie Leibovitz shoot.

Alongside previous hit singles such as 'Northern Lights' and 'Mirage', 'Just Like You' shows just how far Satin Jackets has come in the 3 years since debut album 'Panorama Pacifico' made him one of nu-disco's brightest and most popular stars.

In ​‘Better’, we see a playful spin on the “breakup song”. This isn’t the song to listen to during a breakup, it’s a song to listen to when you’re ready to go out, dance and release all tensions as you forget about past loves. The funky synths permeating throughout maintain the high level of energy required to counteract the somber lyrics. With a rhodes piano solo featured, meeting heavy R&B flavours, the producer has created the perfect take on the modern pop sound.

Louis La Roche ​explains the process the single went through before reaching our ears, “​The demo was written in 2017. I sang the first verse, bridge and chorus (I still have it somewhere). I sent the song over to Lucy and she sent it back with all my parts re-sung as well as a second verse and middle 8, plus all the lovely stacked vocal harmonies. With a lot of the album tracks, they started out as me humming or singing ideas over my instrumentals and the collaborator really understanding where it needed to be taken, to help with my vision.”

'Better' is the first single taken from the forthcoming album 'Saturday Night Griever'.

Delving into the Pop world for the first time, Louis (real name Brett Ewels) has shown his skills not only as a producer but as a songwriter. Ewels wrote, engineered, mixed, produced and mastered all 11 tracks on the album. Recorded partly in the legendary Old Hit Factory studios in London. Home to Stock, Aitken & Waterman in the 80’s.
