I started writing this song in 2012 during a time of change in my life.  But it wasn't until 2015 that I wrote a chorus that felt right for the song.  Finally in 2017 my musicianship had reached the level I felt comfortable to record and with the help and studio space donated to me by Alex Pichler I was able to get the idea's out of my head.  (Alex brother I am forever grateful, a gift you gave me that keeps giving, I swear to god ;)

A huge thank you to Jake Monson for the 2nd set of ears and amazing synth skills and of course Dave WIlkie who was been a mentor to me since I first showed interest in sound production back in 2000.  Dave your take on mixing has elevated this song into a new realms or orginality.

I am forever grateful.

After one of the most turbulent years of my life, I thought I'd lost everything.  I spent my time succumbed to fear.  After some time, this one evening I overcame the fear and went out alone. This is what I wrote the next day.

I wrote this track way back in time when everyone was talking about the end of the world.   In my state of depression the end of the world would have been a relief. 'What are the chances of luck changing side? If we die tonight its a blessing in disguise.'

This Is The End

Have you ever had one of those coincidences that lead you to think that maybe we are all somehow connected?  Maybe a friend calls out of the blue the same day you think of them,  or while you're talking to someone you both say the same thing.  This song is about this interconnection and how at the time of writing the lyrics I was battling with self identity and what it means to be.
