Perico, the CEO and primary artist of Mantega Music Group, was raised in the streets of southwest Philly, where he began rapping at the mere age of 10. Inspired by his wild surroundings, he quickly elevated in skill by his early teens, gaining instant notoriety in the underground rap circuit with his hardcore ,yet witty and flashy lyrics. He got his first big break when his uncle (Ochoa) signed him and childhood friend Reed Dollaz to his indie music label and pushed them to distribution with Sony Music Group.

In 2002 Perico then went on to pursue his solo career, releasing his first solo underground mixtape "Pure Perico". Already having notoriety with in his surrounding neighborhoods and through out a few different sides of the city of Philadelphia, he was able to go on to receive a more national acclaim, building a larger core fanbase from Philadelphia, the tri-state area, and as far down as Miami Florida. In 2005 Perico then started his own recording label, "Mantega Music Group", in which he would become CEO as well as the primary artist. Working very diligently at this craft but still heavily involved in the streets, the young rapper began to make even more of a name for himself.

After a 4 year stretch in jail from the end of 2005 to the end of 2009, the young rapper came home to then start up several more companies including DimeEnds Ent., & Mad House Films. With nothing but time on his hands now mastered in his craft, Perico would now 
put all his talents to the test. In 2012 Perico then went on to become a host of "HeadBanger Videos" (on Comcast & Version) making him more noticed in the mainstream & hip hop community, impressed with his style and camera-friendly charismatic persona his core fan base grew stronger. Through personal and social networking, loyalty honor and discipline, he gained ties with some of the industry's and streets most elite.

In 2014 he became an A&R for nightlife production inc., owned by Bernadette Brennan, former manager of the artist Foxy Brown and a few other celebrity names, With a goal to put those on who come from nothing like himself, therefore opening up the market for others as well. In 2015 he became the vice president of BME tied into Universal Music Group. Perico would then progress further & diversify his career and core Audience with his first mainstream release with his upcoming project "Rules Of Engagement", next to be followed up by his full length album " "Act Of Valor".

With his undeniably incredible wordplay, and his "gangster" yet "flashy" flows and lyrical abilities he has created a cult-like following throughout the mainstream, hip-hop and gangster rap communities. With consecutive hits and a variety of styles, Perico plans to take the crown with his upcoming releases.

Now rapping, acting, modeling as well as ghost writing, Perico will set the stage for his biggest task thus far, complete dominance! See you at the top!
