"‘Drums of Pitori’ is a compilation of 7 raw and minimalist kwaito house bombs by South-African producers Machance and DJ Abbas (who passed away in 2008). Machance performed most of the vocals on it himself. The songs were released under the radar on CD between 2005 and 2006, but this compilation is their first official release. Machance, Abbas, and other artists from this scene used to call the genre ‘Sgitjha’, meaning ‘Drums of Pitori’ in Sepitori, the Pretorian urban language. Pitori is Pretoria, the capital of South Africa where they're from."

The first of our single release series, this one coming from Rogue Cuts founder @reclusebeats. The aim here is to bring free download tracks from friends and affiliates of the Rogue Cuts party, to give people a better idea of what the DJ's are creating and playing.

The track 'Molten' is a refreshed demo from Recluse from back in 2017 when he released an EP with club label Knightwerk. Glossy synths interweave with banging percussion work, ready for use in any club setting.
