Located right outside of Atlanta, GA is one of the rap industry's best-kept
secrets. Born Quincy Jamal Mather and better known by the artist name Quincy Jamal,the burgeoning MC is no stranger to adversity. Quincy moved from his birthplace ofNew Orleans, Louisiana at an early age, heading to Atlanta, Georgia. This move was prompted by the untimely murder of his father, upcoming rapper Kenneth Brown. After spending the majority of his childhood in Atlanta his mother would then decide to relocate to Orlando. It was there that Quincy Jamal would begin to truly hone his talents in the way we know them today.

It started with the MC writing his first rhyme at the age of 14. The hunger for this outlet only grew as Quincy developed a passion for music and instruments. Having to work through his early adulthood, he would be forced to drop out of college at age 19 before returning at age 25. This rough patch in his life helped his music in a lot ways by giving his current lyricism added layers of depth and valuable lessons throughout. The years of building up his skill have finally come full circle for Quincy Jamal. His projects "To Whom It May Concern", "Wentworth" and "Growing Pains" have made an impact throughout the Southeast.
