In his prime, Rahsaan Bahati was one of the fastest cyclist in America. Rahsaan’s entry into cycling is far from typical having grown up in Compton, California. Successful from very early on, this conversation covers his early days through the present, a time period where he celebrates the number ten quite well: the ten-time national champion with collegiate, road, and track titles is also celebrating the tenth anniversary of the organization he started, The Bahati Foundation, this year. Welcome to King of the Ride podcast host hosted by yours truly, Ted King. A former World Tour cyclist, I competed at the world's highest level of the sport for a decade, retiring from conventional road racing in 2015. Returning home to the USA I was unexpectedly swept up by the then fledgeling and now burgeoning gravel scene. I've taken the top step at Dirty Kanza twice and have finished on the podium in virtually every "big" gravel race out there, but more than anything it's been the gravel community that has struck a chord with me. The community is alive and I freaking love it! 

I a co-founded UnTapped, the maple syrup based sports nutrition company. I work with the sport's best brands, I lead rides, host camps, dabble in gravel, and just love life on two wheels.
