Miami’s Electro Bass scene is undying and ever evolving. Sound Chasers are a unit that understands that first hand, having been positioned on the frontlines of its legacy in 2006 with their release “Novus Ordo” . However, the crew was well seasoned before surfacing.
		
		As veterans of the scene, Teknik (Nick Riesco) came out of South Florida’s club circuit while JuniorRock (Alvaro Campos) arose from the B-Boy scene. The two joined forces over their deep interest in the history of DJ megamixes and the evolution of 808 beats. Despite living and working from opposite coasts, the two began to combine the intricacies of classic genre builders such as DJ EFX and Cameron Paul with Miami Bass’s turntablist tactics of 2 Live Crew’s Mr. Mixx and DJ Magic Mike. The sum proved greater than parts, due to incredible attention to detail, and constant experimentation towards continued evolution. The group remained meticulous about the talent and vision when they enlisted a wunderkind turntablist of a younger generation who understands the language of timelessness, DJ De La O. Collectively, the trio experimented beyond their initial releases, without ever sacrificing the integrity of what they’re steeped in.
		
		Their debut was a double threat. As Cut it Up Def Records reformed after a decade plus hiatus, Sound Chasers were the first act signed. The years brewing their formula spilled over after debuting. A stream of releases by labels ranging from JuniorRock’s own Back II Boom in San Francisco to RobotMachine Records and Supreme Ja Music in Germany, becoming an underground global focal point as the artists’ artists in the scene. The group rose to such notable heights to be one of only a few new school artists to be featured alongside 1980s pioneers in the upcoming documentary on the legacy of Miami Bass, “The Bass that Ate Miami”. Similarly, Sound Chasers was also one of the select groups to represent the new school of Bass on Miami Bass History debut Mixtape by Holland’s DJ Overdose.
		From the very beginning, Teknik had plans to reach further. He created DADEaBASS Records to distribute directly from their home base of South Florida, while masterminding plans for the outfit to partner with other platforms. Upcoming joint ventures abound. Demonstrating their continued global reach, an upcoming release will appear in The Netherlands on Marguerita Recordings as Miami Bass History and DADEaBASS will be launching a joint project featuring the legendary Breezy Beat MC. However, Sound Chasers will no longer be an underground sensation. The trio is set to become a global powerhouse after the launch of MBH-TV with Miami Bass History and HD City DJs. They will also be re-releasing their back catalogue in the coming months.
