This duo has a very personal music style, with Melodic Techno as main genre, but with a lot of cinematic elements that imprints an special flavour to their music. Solid beats, dark synths, hipnotic atmospheres and complex effects will make you feel very peculiar emotions.

The EP is completed with 2 strong remixes, by the also french producer Atribút, and the duo based on Zurich LUMME & Miguel

Bach Wrecker & Lugubre - Semina (Original Mix) [UNIVACK RECORDS]

The latest release from Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music welcomes Basil O’Glue back to the label for a new single. The Greek artist and Saturate Audio label boss made his Eat My Hat debut in July of 2020 with the ‘Sycophants’ single. A remix of label boss Ziger then followed later that year along with releases for John OO Fleming’s JOOF Recordings and UV. Continuing his bond with the label, May of this year then saw Basil return for his second remix, taking ‘Supervision’ by label boss Ziger and Nosh & SJ into his world of high energy progressive house. Now following projects for Mango Alley and Pure Trance, Basil makes a welcome return to Eat My Hat with ‘Monarch’, alongside a remix from Lugubre.

Beginning with the Original Mix Basil moves into darker territory with a machine gun style groove, charged rhythms and devilish percussion. Ominous and compelling at the outset, it’s arpeggiated trails and waves of crunchy electronics make for a high octane first act, before gently melting down into a memorable interlude. Bringing emotion into the narrative, the centrepiece elevates mood while maintaining the track’s mystical presence, eventually giving way to a prophetic build and crushing finale.

The release concludes with Lugabre returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of ‘Monarch’. The French artist made his Eat My Hat debut to begin 2021 with the release of his three track ‘Animah’ EP. Well received for it’s astral techno sensibilities, it prompted a quick return in February for an equally successful remix of ‘Your Way’ by Ziger & Mind Conspiracy. Now following a remix for Univack, Lugubre lands back on Eat My Hat with a powerful rendition of ‘Monarch’. Setting the piece in motion, a foundation of punchy beats and pulsating rhythms unite for a wall of momentous energy. Flickering arps and fiery percussion complement the robust groove, while mind bending effects steal the air at timely moments. Taking a cue from the Original Mix, the main break elevates mood with a slight emotional lean, before a timely rush sparks a cosmic finale. An inspired remix from Lugabre which rounds out another must have release from Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music. Don’t miss it.

Romanian artist Tao Anra synthesises her hyperactive but sensitive personality into her music, playing from high energy to dark and groovy Techno. Her musical journey began in The Netherlands during her university years, following up with releases on 7Rituals, Kuukou Records and Kaligo Records. Tao now brings her ever-maturing Techno production to Victor Ruiz’s increasingly popular VOLTA imprint, with Ruiz himself joining Andra for a standout remix on ‘Gracias a la Vida’.

Kicking off with the title cut, ‘Gracias a la Vida’ dives straight into a flurry of racy grooves and blistering electronic musicality. Oozing with a blend of psy-inspired techno flavours from the outset - its fast-paced drums and driven hat sequences pave the way for an expanding platform of rifling bass notes and gritty synth leads that keep the energy at an explicit premium throughout. It would be criminal not to mention the captivating vocal topline that rears its head beautifully at the track’s most atmospheric intersections, making it a truly unique piece of music, capable of turning heads and capturing hearts on any dancefloor globally.

Victor Ruiz caps off the release with an emphatic spin on the original, electing a more traditional techno feel built around commanding kicks, sizzling percussion and ethereal nuances from start to finish. An archetypal stadium-sized peak-time bomb from Ruiz, bringing robust rhythms, cinematic-level musicality, celestial layers and another display of that absolutely stunning vocal.

“K” stood alone on the roof of a high-rise building with his eyes closed and listened to how the world lived out its last day. An asteroid approaching the planet at an incredible speed, until recently it did not pose any threat. Recently.

Having lit his fourth in a row, he finally opened his eyes and looked down. The street was noisy and lively as ever. People with families walked right along the roadway, shops were open in the mode: leave without paying, factory chimneys did not smoke, public transport did not run, the sky was clear. No steel birds or drones.

In a couple of days, the whole world accepted itself, came to life and calmed down. No hostility, no wars, no conflict. No one was hunting for fame, people or money. All around you could hear the steps and voices of those who were lucky enough to spend their last evening on earth.

Love, hate, hopes, disappointments... it all makes no sense now. The world itself, as such, has no meaning, thought “K” and once again struck his lighter.

For the third time, someone frantically tried to break through the door to the roof. "K" didn't even turn around. A lock of impressive size and a key that flew off the roof would still not have allowed the door to be opened. Meaningful hopelessness.

"K" had no one to say goodbye to. He is used to being alone, and right now, perhaps, this trait has come in handy more than ever.
Millions of alarm clocks will sound into the void, silence will devour everything that is not consumed by the flames, and no one will spill your favorite morning green tea with lemon on a single work suit or dress. No good morning, no ignoring in response.

"K" didn't like to talk. He didn't like much at all. There were only three things that he treasured and always carried with him. Honesty headphones and cigarettes.
In honor, “K” did not feel sorry for himself, or the planet, or anyone else. He did not remember moments from the past. He was thinking about the presentWhile the same thoughts floated back and forth in my head, as if in a small aquarium, the last night in the world slowly passed by the eyes of “K.”

Closer to dawn, the sky was filled with some unusual rumble and air raid sirens began to wail. “K” felt for the last cigarette in the pack, lit it and barely audibly said: fuck this, closed his eyes and pressed play.
