Starting his music career as drummer in rock bands, Mark subsequently discovered his love for electronic music. At the young age of 14, he began to play shows as DJ in his hometown Vienna. By and by, Mark started producing music of all types and genres under various alias.

Ultimately, Mark found his calling in techno music. Soon after his debut in the techno scene in August 2019, Mark’s productions earned global recognition and kickstarted his career.
Besides releasing on some of the world's most important techno labels (like Fe Chrome, Autektone, IAMT and many others), Mark’s music regularly gets supported and played by the big names of the industry.

His second single release „Dilation“ (Fe Chrome), already entered the Beatport Top 100 Techno Charts and received significant international attention.

Mark Michael's diversified music and production style brings fresh air to the scene and puts him on the radar as one of the rising techno talents in the new decade.

Endangered is excited to welcome back Swiss artist Soma Soul with a new 4-track EP, featuring a remix from label boss Brian Cid.

Just under a year ago, Zurich’s Soma Soul debuted on Endangered with a spectacular EP of cinematic techno.  Since then, he’s had more music come out on Jonas Rathsman’s ELEMENTS, and Sabb’s RADIANT labels.  In his return to Endangered, the Illusion of Control EP continues where the last one left off, and shows the evolution of an artist in a short period of time.

No time is wasted easing into the release, with the title track bringing the energy right off the bat.  A rollercoaster of emotions flows throughout, and peaks with a dramatic breakdown.  “Symphony Lake” follows, and continues the emotional trip.  Soma Soul’s signature cinematic sounds really shine through here, with the production feeling like a full electronic orchestra.

After only releasing original tracks on the label, Brian Cid makes his remixer debut on Endangered, and does not disappoint with his take on “Symphony Lake”.  An even more driving element is added to the beat, and Brian takes the parts from the original on a divine journey.  “No Gravity” closes the release, and Brian Cid describes it best after playing this one at a recent gig: “Dark vibes all the way.  Energy on a million.”

2020 is here and what better way to kick off the new decade than by releasing a new bootleg. 

I've been getting my inspiration from all sorts of different places lately; classical music, jazz and more recently, movie scores. Which, in this case I heard the trailer soundtrack to A24's movie, Midsommar and I absolutely fell in love with it. Here is my little take, my little twist on Audiomachine's The Dance Of Death.

In the MOOD - Episode 297 - Live from The Grand Factory, Beirut

Mark Michael grew up in Vienna, Austria, where he started his music career by playing drums and guitar in Punk Rock and Heavy Metal bands.

At the young age of 12 years, he discovered his passion for electronic music and started DJ-ing and producing music at home. Only one year later he had his first gig at a local High School party.

Playing all around his hometown, Mark kept switching genres, urging to find his own individual style. Over the years he released music and performed under various alias, continuously focusing more on underground music.

After spending some time abroad in Ibiza and Berlin, Mark's vision finally was clear. By the end of 2017 he sunk deeper into the underground scene and discovered his love for techno music. Within a year, Mark managed to make himself a name in the Viennese techno scene performing alongside international acts.

Already Mark's second track "Dilation" made into the Beatport Techno Top 100 Charts. With releases on labels like Fe Chrome, Reload Black Label and upcoming tracks on Autektone, 2019 clearly marks his musical breakthrough in the techno scene.
