About Critical Rave Theory 

‘크리티컬 레이브 띠오리(CRT)’는 서울의 활기찬 언더그라운드 음악씬에서 한 달 간 흑인 역사의 달을 기념합니다. 2월 한 달 간 CRT와 파트너 단체들은 서울의 다양한 문화 중심지에서 8개 행사를 개최하며 현재 언더그라운드 음악씬에서 적극적으로 활동하고 있는 30명 이상의 로컬 아티스트가 참여합니다. House, Hip-Hop, Afrotech, GQOM장르에 이르기까지 각 행사는 흑인 예술과 역사를 조명하면서 흑인 DJ와 한국인 DJ와의 협력을 추구합니다. Critical Rave Theory (CRT) is a month-long celebration of Black History Month within Seoul’s vibrant underground music scene. Throughout the month of February, CRT and their partners will host a series of 8 events at various cultural mainstays throughout the city and will feature 30+ local artists who are currently breathing life into the underground music scene. With genres ranging from house and hip hop to AfroTech and Gqom, each event aims to highlight Black art and history while promoting collaboration between Black and Korean DJs in the scene.

Chains and harnesses make up the hard armored exterior that Marsh Long equips shortly before making her way onto the stage. It's her way of tapping into confidence and defiance that she otherwise feels distant from.

Marsh Long is a Melbourne-born artist that has put her unique stamp of electronic music in every dance floor she touches. Featuring performances across the Australian scene, she’s able to uplift events from Eat The Beat, Barba Presents, Novel, and Melbourne Techno Collective.

Going into a Marsh performance, you feel like you're in a dream state, constantly encountering sounds haunting or leaving you euphoric. A journey that transcends into you through a unique arc. This derives from Marsh's way of storytelling through music from a very young age, where she performed in orchestras around her hometown with classical piano and violin.

Through her exclusive brand LTW Group (Louder Than Words), Marsh Long organizes events and curates monthly podcasts, with the aim to bring people together through high-energy music. This is an extension of her passion, providing a platform for all forms of hidden talent, a place to shine.

She speaks fondly about the Europe scene, a dreamscape that she one day aims to find herself making music in. Marsh has emphasized the point that she wants her story to be one that is uplifting in the long run. Just like her music, she wants her story to leave people feeling inspired, hopeful or left with that zest for life that translates through her music.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.
