Inspired by Yothu Yindi and early Midnight Oil, this track blends Aboriginal culture with modern music. Featuring (real) clarinet, didgeridoo, and guitar, it's a dreamtime journey where tradition meets contemporary sounds.

This is a blueprint for a song about people being away from the place they grew up and they once called home, keeping in touch with the people they miss, and making plans to go back and visit. 
It is about the feeling of being caught between where they’ve come from and where they are now. The music drifts between warm, familiar memories and the present moment, where life has pulled you somewhere new. It’s not heavy or dramatic, more like a gentle reminder of where you came from and the connections that never really fade.

This version is a new take on an older song, but with no lyrics, just the melody doing all the talking..

My daughter is now eleven but when she was 4 or 5 years old, I was trying to learn Spanish (but then life got in the way) and as we brushed our teeth every night, I would sing a silly song “Abre la boca, lava tus dientes blancos blancos muy limpios”.  I’m sure it’s a terrible translation but recently the song popped into my head and this weekend, and I thought it might be fun to attempt to turn it into a complete song.

Using Paul Revere's famous night-time ride alerting people of the coming of the red coats, Light The Lanterns serves as a contemporary warning to light the lanterns again, this time, for the enemy within the US Administration.
Smart people doing wrong always perplexes me.
Religious people supporting wrong raises concerns about faith claims of following truth.
Political parties  and governments oppressing people causes alarms to ring out.

Playing with ideas.. mostly failing :)
I love listening to music, from the baroque era(love Bach, Vivaldi) and some traditional old music all the way to the music nowadays.

It's not how big the artist is, I'm listening to the song with no other expectations that finding a good musical story behind the music. 
Not a fan of progress and being different for the sake of it. 
I like when people try to revive and build on old ideas. I think it sometimes carries much bigger risks than trying new things and can go to interesting places..

Not a good instrument player,  but like to tinker with it..
