Wrote & Recorded over 2 days in home studio, took roughly 11-12 hours. Basic demo of a song idea I literally come up on the spot with.

Tech Notes: Used Logic Pro X as the DAW, 2 rhythm guitar tracks panned Hard L & R, basically identical except for a few little bits (listen to find out!) Drums were programmed in using Logic's Drummer Plugin ! 3 Vocal tracks total as you will/can hear with doubling in some parts. Guitar lead track there too and bass is my guitar transposed one octave down using a pedal board (had to EQ that heaps though).

I Hear You

a total overhaul on the approach i take to make songs on this track, Nothing too serious , just a fun, bumpy and bounce cruise jam. :P Rick James Ghetto Life inspired the two basses in intro and throughout.

Disco Blitz III

I Was feeling incredibly low when i wrote this song its technically in a Gmaj key but slips that 7th note in (F)making the chord G7 (breaking the scale structure so to speak) for the 2nd chord of the progression. 

This song is one of favourites as it was birthed out of pain and emotion, feeling lonely and what came from exactly that was a really enriching heart felt Jazz/Soul/RNB soudning track that flows together seemlessly. The sax part in the 2nd half is rippoed off a youtube video i will link later. i did a bit of pitch correction but Saxaphons are supposed to sound "in-between", like slightly of tune cents wise. 

(THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW MUSIC THEORY 100 Cents + is one semitone up, whether thats 1 fret on a guitar or 1 key on a keyboard. and -100cents is 1 semitone down) Just a lil music tip

The song actually sounds like a cheesy love song funnily enough, Maybe one day, Let me know what you think.

PS Used 1 drum track, 1 piano, 1 electric piano, 1 strings and 1 bass, I took a very simple approach to this one. Added that FET Fatten comp setting :P to make it huge (PLUS REVERB TOO)

Gold Coast: Vice City

White Gold

The staple piece of the track is one of my all time favourite piano riffs Electric Light Orchestra's Evil Woman. Only used 2 bass tracks, 1 drum and the track w/ the chopped up AND.... successfully tempo fixed sample. For some reason up until this point I really couldn't seem to get the timing of any song to match the bpm of the project. Finally I spent some time exploring FlexTime and figured out a solution.

Anyway let me know what you think of this one :P

Miss Attitude

originally wrote this tune whilst in grade 10, after a girl i used to like. very heavily inspired by Green Day, Blink-182 and etc at the time, this is a punchy song filled with catchy guitar hooks. Very roughly tracked in terms of timing of my guitar haha. Its a Demo OK!. 

Otherwise its an insanely fun track to listen to :) First time i tried mastering the track separately.  So its 9 years old something i wrote when i was 15 and it still sounds awesome today oh yeah!! #IANDAVIESONGS
