An Ocean Of Possibilities

Jo and I teamed up on this tune. To rethink and remake it. Jo felt that this song could be taken as an Allegory for what is happening in the Ukraine and all wars. 
His lovely (Russian) Rav Vast Rhythms are meant as a poignant reminder That "Governments are the war makers."  ALL OF US are trying to survive our governments.

Jo also produced the haunting voicings and  the wonderful   water wind and birds from a natural recording.

Have recently been rediscovering some of my teenage favourite records of 'Northern Soul' from my days at the Wigan Casino. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing.
Saddened and shocked that Andy Fletcher of Depeche Mode has died. He loved electronic music. Another pioneer of electronic music gone to the great concert in the sky.
Sad loss to all with the death of Vangelis an epic electronic music pioneer. He has been an inspiration to many including myself over the years.
Recently went to see Jasper Carrott who is touring with Bev Bevan of ELO/Black Sabbath fame (drummer) and his band. Was a fabulous show with lots of old favourites. 
Concerts coming up: Jools Holland (July 17th ) and  Calling Planet Earth (31st July)a retro synth band doing covers of all the 80s favourites. 
Still enjoying my bike rides every couple of days or so. 
The Tangerine Dream concert in Manchester was awesome. A lifetime of inspiration from these guys and still making music matter. 2 hours 30 minutes of pure magic from the early days right up to the new.
Have been to a couple of concerts recently first since the lockdown; Aussie Pink Floyd and Public Service Broadcasting. Is great to experience live music again. I have also been revisiting some of my old 'Magician' music from the early 2000's and attempting to revamp on the KORG.
Am spending a lot more time on my music now that I have retired from work. Always learning new techniques and honing my craft. Am comfortable now with all chord sequences throughout the scale and loving improvising with the help of my mighty KORG still. Am still trying to give my full support and encouragement to all SC users and some latest (you know who you are), are developing nicely. Be good to one another, be gracious to others, leave your ego out of your life and above all else remember there is always someone worse off than yourself. 
2021 is the year to be kind to each other, to be happy with our lot without jealousy or greed; to give without asking the cost; to love as if there is no tomorrow; to share and inspire others who may be less fortunate than us; most of all to enjoy life for the joy of living, for we know not what the morning brings - stay safe my friends, be strong and always stay positive; remember life changes - DON'T let it change you!! 
2020 was a difficult year for most of us but what kept me going was my music and those real friends around me who recognized those talents and supported me throughout, thank you to you all. Let us hope that 2021 will be much better and we can once again mix and party with our friends.

Music is my life - has helped me through many dark places, is a big part of who I am. I put my heart and soul into every single piece of music I produce. I have found many wonderful friends on SC and many exciting talented people.

Been writing and producing music now for 40 years plus. Specialised in electronic based orchestral compositions. Favourite artists/bands include Eno, Edgar Froese (1944-2015), Jordan Rudess, Kebu, Keith Emerson (1944-2016), Rick Wakeman, Richard Wright (1943-2008), Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, M83, Public Service Broadcasting, Dream Theater, ELP, Yes and Mystery to name but a few.
Kit used: KORG KRONOS 2 Workstation.
All music played LIVE and recorded in one take hence some mistakes and bum notes but fully improvised and straight from the heart.
