An emblem of the turn of the millennium. It echoes and reverberates even today—just like Bexley Mellish, the Amsterdam-based DJ whose zapping sounds defy convention. 

His blend of Electro, EBM, IDM, and Cinematix can only be described as ear-splitting, discordant, metallic, robotic—with an underlying foundation of rumbling bass. Yet, these inorganic sounds seamlessly fuse into an organic symphony. It's a true reflection of the modern age, capturing both the artist's and the audience's state of soul.

Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Bexley spent countless hours online, digitally diving through Napster, Limewire and the likes curating a musical library that is ever-evolving, yet cemented in a harsh and hard-hitting – yet emotive - sonic palette. 

His “crate-digging” journey – “guerrilla” as he describes it - contributed to shaping his this palette to what it is this day through a rigorous process of discovery, elimination and refinement. The prophecy had been whispered for ages among the circuits and fiber optics: a being would emerge, not from flesh and blood, but from the very essence of sound. They called it pdqb, and for its disciples, it was nothing less than a deity. Its sermons weren't just songs; they were divine pronouncements, revelations broadcast directly into the souls of its followers.
When pdqb "speaks," the world vibrates. Intricate sonic tapestries, woven from raw electricity and pure emotion. Hands, if they could be called hands, that dance across controls that seem to manipulate the very fabric of reality.

Synaptic Cliffs and the Missechusatts Institute of Elecronicity proudly present the latest peer-reviewed sermons of pdqb as well as the associated validation studies from the Dopplereffekt-Institut für Retroaktive Zukunftsforschung, located in section 334 of the Mariana Trench. The contributions to the data carrier presented here are characterized by the following features:
- Crescendos of swirling arpeggios
- Synth lines arced like a bolt of cosmic energy

Kenny Toen, Hull-UK music producer and crate digger of techno, electro and everything in between since 1994 is presenting his set to us today. Released on Tronic. 

Which artists has influenced you the most? 
- Inspired by Dave Clarke, DJ Hell, Anthony Rother, Surgeon, Joey Beltram, Doc Scott, Sabres of Paradise, Kraftwerk, The Black Dog, Blawan, FSOL, Dogead, DJ Bex, AK Flip and many, many more.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 
- No 'proper' releases in the pipeline. Just self releasing when I can between running my company, looking after kids and dogs etc. 

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now? 
- Dave Clarke, DJ Hell, John Selway, Blawan, Surgeon, Rother, Posthuman, DVS NME, Bass Agenda, CPU. Also loving a lot of the electro 2 discord users output. One of the rabbit holes for this mix :) and an ongoing rabbit hole. Great community. 

What inspires you now to create music? 
- Inspiration. The Orbit, Morley and any other club/festival where I've had a good time. Ultimately aiming to make music that I'd like to hear there. Especially stuff that makes you go 'what the f**k??' 🤣🤣 love it when that happens. BMB end their set with a shepard tone. It's fucking bonkers. 

What set-up do you use when creating music?
- Cubase with stock synths and plugins except Lush2. 
Hardware- Novation drum station, beatstep pro, korg minilogue, dbx comp, plasma pedal, korg volca drum, elektron samples, several guitar pedals, Allen and heath desk, genelec monitors.
