A fun to song to start the new year off with since the last two years were such bummers. 

Most of what I write is dark and depressing so I also like to write songs like this once in a while to keep a good balance and just to have fun with it.

TUMMY

I was inspired by an audio clip from comedian/actor Justin Long’s podcast “Life Is Short” of him talking to his Grandmother about what happens after you die. It spoke to me in a way because I’m always wondering and worried about that.

Well, it is finally here. My 30th birthday and the third and final part of my September series songs. It has been a lot of fun making these over the past few years, and who knows, maybe I’ll end up making more down the road for shits and gigs. If anyone feels like giving this song a listen, and watching the video it will mean a lot to me. I truly believe I did what I planned to do with this series, and that was to show my growth as an artist from the first one to this one. There’s only been 3 total over a course of 4 years but I still think it’s very noticeable. Let me know what you think, and do you have a favorite September?

Hailing from SE Michigan, just west of Detroit, ianAVIAN was introduced to some local artists, such as Eminem, D12, and Royce da 5’9. As he grew older, he was able to discover music from all genres, and fell in love with writing songs and stories. After dipping his toes in writing songs that were more rock or country, he realized that they didn’t sit true to himself, that’s when he dove into his childhood love, hip-hop and felt more comfortable than ever. With an attempt to modernize the old school boom bap style, he writes intricate bars with heavy punchlines about things ranging from life, existential crisis, relationships, love or anything in between.
