Hailing from SE Michigan, just west of Detroit, ianAVIAN was introduced to some local artists, such as Eminem, D12, and Royce da 5’9. As he grew older, he was able to discover music from all genres, and fell in love with writing songs and stories. After dipping his toes in writing songs that were more rock or country, he realized that they didn’t sit true to himself, that’s when he dove into his childhood love, hip-hop and felt more comfortable than ever. With an attempt to modernize the old school boom bap style, he writes intricate bars with heavy punchlines about things ranging from life, existential crisis, relationships, love or anything in between.
