Biography - Dj Ivan LLuv (English)

DJ Ivan LLuv is the artistic name of Ivan Alfama, born on June 13 in the Cape Verde Islands; he is the father of House music in Cape Verde where Ivan LLuv started his career in a new year’s party in 1989 at his aunt’s house. Ivan LLuv himself/even in the elementary school was in charge of music to School events (back then in tape/cassette). 

In 1995 he starts working at his first night Club/Discotheque his house as he referred to it, an old night club/Discotheque “PILON”, where he worked every night;  
In 1999, an invitation by the artist Heavy H to work for another night club “Bomb H”, where he provided to the Cape Verdeans and not only, memorable nights in the capital of Cape Verde with famous summer nights (the very first ones made in CV), Hip Hop nights, and he was the Official Dj of the radio program “Nobidade na Obido” broadcast life from Bomb H.
He has acted/played and made outstanding nights in the biggest houses in Cape Verde like: Pilon, Taboo, Bomb H, Zero Hours, Sabura, Kapital, Max Club, Syrius, Kabrer, Caravel... Etc.
Besides being a Dj, Ivan LLuv also has been working s for a radio station “Radio Commercial” for the past 15 years as sound technician and Producer.
In parallel to that, he has a program in the Radio station RCV + totally dedicated to Electronic music. 
In 2007 he becomes part of the first alternative space in Cape Verde “Cockpit”, a house devoted to electronic/House music, where he is still proportioning nights scenes of total madness.
Ivan LLuv has also been and made part of great events here in Cape Verde like: Love Férias, supportive Rave, Rave Backstage Baia - S. Vicente, Rave Festival Maria, CMP summer openings, night club Cockpit in the USA  1 and 2, Jay and Band Live ( where he played together with the Band) , Hot summer, the Promo House parties (an event group that was the creator and mentored sometime a go till the split), CV Dance Paradise, CVWMF Launch of Hip Hop Praia, Super rave Bridge Santa Maria, Launch of the Skate Ramp at the Park 5 de Julho/5th Of July, Ferro Gaita band Live at night club Cockpit I Love Praia, I love Fogo and others.
He has also been involved with other musical projects like the Band Heavy H, Ivan LLuv and Pimps, a mixture of Djs, Drummer, Percussionist and Mc.
Dj Ivan LLuv is a pioneer in his area of work here in Cape Verde. He was the first Dj to present/show Scratch in his true essence, he is one of the firsts to produce a CD of Hip hop, the first one to work with computer programs of Mix and Mega Mixes, he was and still is the mentor of the Rave parties in Cape Verde, and the first Dj to launch a compilation CD “Cockpit Vol 1 and 2 “.
During all this time he has livening up his audience and public, having been his performances characterized by a resultant versatility of African, Latin-American, Brazilian, American and European styles of the musical. 
But It was not till 2007, that a Dream for most Djs and for him came through. The first Dj in Cape Verde launches his first Disco graphic work “Som Y Tom 1.0” of and with Originals Soundtracks.
He claims still this year to give continuity to his project I go flat (Sound y Tone), with the launch of the CD Sound y Tone 2.0. Still in 2012, Ivan LLuv wins the award of Dj of the year of the CVMA (Cape Verde Music Awards) 2012 in the  category of BEST DJ!!!!!
