A simple dinner in Berlin transforms into a studio session, which in turn evolves into a track, which sets the spark for what has now materialized as one of the most highly anticipated albums of late. These were the forces which turned a casual evening into an artistic crossroads for Jerome Sydenham (Ibadan Records), AYBEE (Deepblak Recordings), and Ron Trent (Prescription/Future Vision Records).

S.A.T short for Sydenham AYBEE, and Trent brings together the creative energies of three of underground dance music’s notable stalwarts. Jerome Sydenham long since etched into dance music history with his iconic NY based Ibadan Records responsible for some of the most memorable tunes of the last 20 years from a list of Kerri Chandler, Joe Claussell, Dennis Ferrer and many many others. Ron Trent another legendary icon whom’s distinguished discography spans 20 plus years, and whose Prescription label also sits atop the pantheon of dance music’s most esteemed imprints. AYBEE a Trent discovery in 2001 has since gone on to establish himself as one of the most critically acclaimed, and forward pushing producers of the last plus decade with his Deepblak imprint producing a genre defiant, labeless sound that continues break new ground in the electronic spectrum.
With the mood in Jerome Sydenham's Berlin studio loose, and organic the trio set out to produce an album full of the elements they love about the dance-floor experience. After three weeks of literally living in the studio the S.A.T album has emerged. Set for release in November 2014 on Ibadan Records keep your ears posted for what is sure to be one the most memorable projects to surface in recent years.

In the studio Francesco Mami hooks up with his comrades "Duel" and execute their production skills and in addition Jerome Sydenham enters the Frey to get down on the mix. The result is a healthy dose of avant-garde Deep House on one hand and a virile dose of Tech house on the other. This DJ friendly romper is a sure banker!

B1.   Jerome Sydenham enters the deep Techno realm in true Vanguard style unleashing "Dogon". Sparse vocals and tinges of Acid and fat kicks shape this underground piece and put it right in the pocket.

B2.  "Mirror Lines" is a beautifully crafted contempo Deep House track effortlessly combining a spirit of happiness with energetic resolve. This New York meets Detroit flavor is the brainchild of Jerome Sydenham and Amsterdam Techno/House superstar Shindoe, who is also making her Ibadan Records debut. Enjoy!

“The Other Man” is a unique collaboration between up-and-coming young Finnish producer Janne Tavi – the flag-bearer of Ibadan’s next generation – and acclaimed Chicago house vocal legend Robert Owens.

This EP is a superb rare gem that bridges global distances and combines a broad range of influences. The result is lush layers of sound, relentless energy, and intricate piano riffs and stabs. Owens’ poignant vocals seal the deal on this new house classic, taking it to sublime heights. The vocal dub kicks the heat up a notch with Owens’ seductive vocals and Tavi’s stunning keys and arrangement.

On the B-side, New York house legend Kerri Chandler makes a long-awaited return on Ibadan. First up is a spirited vocal version with a dynamic bassline. Chandler follows it up with an instrumental take, pared down to a tool and keeping the infectious groove going with deep and satisfying flavor.
