When Disco Goes Wrong (̨@janne-berglund) teams up with Lockdown Radio to present a compilation of 8 original tracks that truly encapsulate the vibe of the LR community.

Lockdown Radio was born in March 2020, just before the UK Government imposed a national lockdown, which was felt across the entire globe. It has been a beacon of light in dark times and a place to be free, listen to music and forge great friendships.

This compilation is a celebration of all we have achieved in collaboration with our guest DJs, including the label bosses of When Disco Goes Wrong.

Digital download available but also a limited edition souvenir CD, including a 28 page booklet celebrating the last 12 months. Happy birthday Lockdown Radio!

To call Colin Dale "legendary" is no over-estimation.......here is a Dj that has been one of London's most cutting edge Djs for over 30+ years and still continues to surprise and marvel. Music was always a big part of the Dale family's life......Soul, Reggae, Jazz and Funk.....even before Colin left school friends included Fabio, Grooverider, Dave Angel, Jumping Jack Frost and Bryan Gee........all who went on to be top Djs in their respective scenes. It all began in 1982 when Colin who was then working as a banker in the city of London began to warm up for Hip Hop supremo "Tim Westwood" at the cult Gossips nightclub in Soho playing cuts like Soul Sonic Force, Strafe, Shannon and Donna Summer.
In 1985 Colin was one of the key members of the pirate radio station Kiss FM and soon after left banking to pursue a career in music and the "Abstrakt Dance" radio show was born. For 16 years "Abstrakt Dance" was a ground-breaking show which quite simply bought Techno to the masses. Guests on the show included All the UR crew, Hawtin, Angel, Pullen, Garnier, Saunderson, Craig, May, Cox......the list goes on and .. the show was put on the internet in 1993 Colin became a household name in Techno circles Worldwide. It was the first ever Techno show to be transmitted live with visuals on the internet and it was revolutionary. It was around this time that Colin teamed up with Brenda Russell and Colin Faver to do the 'Knowledge' 'Deep Space' & Submerge series of club nights in London which again saw the team take London's Techno scene to new highs. Other club nights that Colin has been involved in include Electric Boogie, Vapour Space, Deep and Jelly. Production wise Colin has recorded for Perfecto on their very first LP, Obsessive, Logic, Sensei, Visitor, Abstrakt Dance, Swag, Laus and Alien Funk amongst others as well as 7 well received mix compilation LPs for various major record labels. (see discography*) As well as being a regular guest at clubs such as Fabric, Rex, Pasha (Buenos Aires) and Love (Brazil) Colin has toured the Worlds clubs extensively.....Japan, China, Russia, Australia and Eastern Europe, U.S.A.........Colin is a favourite the World over. Looking back Colin has played some of the World’s best parties.....Dance Valley, Full Moon, Tribal Gathering, Sunrise, Dance Valley, Energy, Love Parade, Automatik @ Rex Club Paris, Rage @ Heaven, Bloc Festival, Glade, Dragon Ball and recently special guest at Paul Van Dyke’s Vandit club in Berlin.

K•Mo follows up his debut album ‘Vision’, released on Wayout in 2019, with his new single ‘7th Heaven’, backed with remixes from Tokyo’s Mahal and Sub Club’s Harri and Affi under their Manakinz guise. 

The duo rework the original deep feel’ of Praise’ into a more robust house cut, keeping the core of the composition whilst stirring in uplifting piano lines, dynamic percussion, acid-tinged resonant licks and a bumpy bass line.

With an abundance of amazing tunes and music coming out of these restricted times, it’s made for a bumper crop of wonky chuggers, acid heaters and sun kissed Balearic bangers for our annual ‘A Summer Riot’ EP.  So much so, that’s this year’s IX instalment has bolstered considerably, now spreading over two editions, and with 6 tracks apiece from some of our favourite producers.

Seasoned Futureboogie pros, Christophe and PBR Streetgang, head up the selection on Part Two, with Christophe delivering a meaty, reverb soaked, acid brain bender on ‘Critters 2 (The Revenge)’, whilst the PBR boys offer up a sleez and seductive Moroder inspired romp.

Glasgow’s Manakinz make a second appearance across the two ‘A Summer Riot IX’ releases, with the hypnotising ‘Mystic Throbber’, whilst Roe Deers come good with the quirky and funky sounds of ‘Monkey Dance’.

‘Fire In Zero Gravity’ by duo Acolyte, touches on Detroit techno soul and inspirative piano work for their entry, and Jakobin seals off the EP with the ghostly ambience and shuffling beats of ‘Mighty Mt’.

For this, the person in charge of the new season is the Japanese producer Yuki Tosaya, who has recently released some Balearic and acid house songs on Ancient Future Now (Germany), Strictly Groove Recordings (Italy), Night
Noise Music (Netherlands), Emerald & Doreen (Germany), Futureboogie Recordings (UK), or in the Beats Of No Nation series (Australia). 

He now lands on Melómana with "MoonFlowers", accompanied by remixes by Azaria & Lebollet and Plastico. The whole sounds thunderous, forcefully, aimed at making the best dance floors explode. Of course, with its essence, electric and powerful, which has always characterized the Melómana catalog, knowing very well how to move to another dimension.

Kocleo's journey began very early on in his life. When he was just 13 years of age, he was already messing around with turntables and mixers, learning the tricks and trade of DJing from his brother. Kocleo took part in a DJ contest and was awarded the 'Best DJ' in the Nottalba competition promoted by Francesco Zappalà, considered by many an Italian Legend and the first Italian to have been awarded (Runner-up) in the DMC ‘Battle for World Supremacy’ in 1990.

A couple of years later, Kocleo decided to move to Rome from his little town in the south of Italy in order to explore his passion for music production and sound design. Fast forward to 2016 and he has since emerged as one of the few most exciting talents to come out of Italy, releasing non-linear house and techno cuts on labels such as Sasha’s LNOE,  Steve Bug’s Audiomatique, Morris Audio, Culprit, New York’s Nervous Records, Definitive Recordings, Integrity Records to name just a few.
 
He has received regular support from DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada, Pete Tong, Âme, DJ T., Joris Voorn, Danny Tenaglia, Vince Watson, James Zabiela, Alex Niggemann, The Magician, and many others.

His recent EP “San Lorenzo” is out on Tensnake’s label True Romance. He is also a solid performer with high familiarity in playing with vinyl records and using analog and digital gear: his live and DJ sets are a mix of electronic, house, and techno.
