Fuse ODG is back with an even bigger follow-up!
The new single “Azonto” is a huge hip-swaying, toe-tapping slice of fun with
the same blend of West African and hip-hop influences that gave “Antenna”
its unique sound and propelled it to number 7 in the UK chart.
Inspired by a trip to Ghana where everyone seemed to be doing the Azonto –
a dance which involves a signature knee-swivel and the opportunity to
remote-control your partner - Fuse ODG brought Ghanaian hip-hop producer
Killbeatz and guest MC Itz Tiffany over to London to record the single.
The viral video took off immediately and has racked up over 10 million views
to date. Home-shot videos featuring fans and celebrities doing the Azonto
dance started popping up across the Internet.
Combining African percussion, crisp hip-hop production and exultant pop
synths with positive, uplifting lyrics - “Azonto” is a sure-fire New African
smash.
