From start to finish this album features the most insane Jazz-Funk tunes ever released on a Library LP from Italy. Amleto Armando aka 'Puccio' Roelens was a great and requested composer and arranger of the time, been working for Rai and Vedette Records and being also and orchestra leader and pianist. Along with "ROCK SATELLITE" this a KILLER Funk record all the way through, and the most similar record to mythical Torossi's FEELINGS. Incredible B-boy drum breaks in this session with spacey Fender Rhodes, cosmic Synth, mad Fuzz and treated Wha-Wha, heavy basslines, and huge horns section where Dino Piana Jazz trombone seems to play and so on..

Already touring extensively thoughout their native France, Rive Gauche is a new live and studio project fronted by Alexandre Destrez, pianist of Saint Germain’s
albums (Tourist & Boulevard).
Fans of Saint Germain’s two stunning albums on Blue Note will be pleased to know that the debut single from Rive Gauche is very much in the same vein.
Smooth jazz grooves, seductive trumpet licks and smokey vocals are the order of the day here, laid over subtle electronic touches and solid beats. First up on remix duties, genre-hopping production maestro Simbad supplies an uptempo and fun jazz-house workout guaranteed to move a dancefloor (DJs should probably practise miming the ‘rewind’). Last but no means least, radio presenter and champion of quality music of almost all shades, Gilles Peterson takes the helm for the second remix. His multifaceted interpretation blends latin jazz vibes with Amen Break sampling drum’n’bass beats, somehow remaining delicate and floaty throughout. Creative and brilliantly realised, we can’t wait to hear what’s next from Rive Gauche.

BBE Music present ‘Hepnotherapy’, a 2017 album by London swing group The Hep Chaps.

The Hep Chaps were founded in 1996 after David Howarth and John Wallace met up in the West End of London performing in the stage musical Good Rockin Tonight. They found a musical empathy in the sound of the 30s and 40s and formed a duo specialising in self-penned works with zany lyrics and punchy swing rhythms. In 2005 they formed a six-piece group.

Mingling well-known swing tunes from the 30s & 40s with their own originals in the same classic style this band is one of the most fun & accessible dance bands around.

The band have performed at swing dance clubs, festivals, parties & balls all over the UK and in Europe with special appearances at London’s famous 100 Club, The Jitterbug Ball, The Rhythm Riot & The Swing Cats Ball as well as at Copenhagen’s famous Jazzhouse.

Two years after an acclaimed first album, Al Sunny and Favorite Recordings proudly present "Planets", carrying on their collaboration and bringing it to another level. 
Al Sunny is a young and talented singer/musician/composer emerging from the French soul music scene.

During his conservatory studies, he refined his knowledge and confirmed his desire to write and compose. He quickly matured the music that he truly loves, inspired by artists such as Tim Maia, America, Al Green, and Al Jarreau. Giving birth to the majority of his compositions through his guitar, he always seeks to bring his songs’ melody to the forefront.  
During his studies he kept experiencing live performing on different scenes and confirmed his choice for a musical career, while also meeting many brilliant musicians, including Florian  Pellissier, who later introduced him to Pascal Rioux and Favorite Recordings.

It resulted in 2017 in "Time to Decide" release, a dazzling first album establishing Al Sunny’s music and writing style, looking towards the 70s and 80s Westcoast movement, infused with Blue-Eyed-Soul, Pop and Folk flavors. Built on the same influences, "Planets" is made of 8 new  compositions  (including a  CD  and  digital  bonus), and is clearly a continuation of  its cadet, asserting Al Sunny’s talent and singing skills. Fully recorded live and analogic in  Paris, this  new  albumalso  stands  out  by  an impressivelevel  of  production, faithful to some  classics of the genre.
Mixing catchy melodies, soulful vocals, warm and heavy bass, strong beat and beautiful guitars and keyboards harmonies, "Planets" just perfectly meets the AOR and Modern-Soul golden era standards.

[PREMIERE] Al Sunny - Should I

Внимательные слушатели Лаборатории заметили, что последние выпуски посвящены исследованию будущего звучания. Наверное, это потому, что — и осознайте это прямо сейчас — меньше чем через месяц начнётся третье десятилетие XXI века.

Для сегодняшнего исследования нам понадобится сделать сразу же две наисвежайшие премьеры. И обе две премьеры будут представлены волшебными девушками вокалистками, с мощнейшим электронным участием — это Ева Червоненко (проект Svetouch, при поддержки фанк-гуру Анатолия Айса ), и Татьяна Пронькина (дуэт zarya, совместно с Кириллом Черновым ). Две дивы из совершенно разных параллелей будущего звучания. Мы их послушаем подряд, и это будет потрясающее звуковое сопряжение и напряжение.

Сначала проект Svetouch. Это история о том, как Гость из будущего, оснащённый всеми самыми новыми техническими аудиопримочками, с помощью машины времени переносится в некое тёплое идеальное прошлое 60-70-х, где встречает условную Василису Прекрасную, поэтессу и актрису, совершенно богемное создание. В этой атмосфере радужного оптимизма, накрахмаленных салфеток и запаха чернил от свежих чертежей космических ракет, происходит творческий реюньон. Прошивка фортепьяно обновляется до самой последней версии, загружаются самые передовые семплы — и вот оно, происходит прикосновение света.

В этом объединении Ева Червоненко отвечает за поэтическое дыхание, русский дух и русскую душу, которые на разрыв. Анатолий Айс наполняет это всё тем, что он знает и умеет — лучшие импортозамещённые образцы фанка и соула. Противоречивые мотивы и хрустящая ткань облекают неведомый силуэт будущего создания в форму, которую хочется видеть и верить. Это, вроде, нативное, но в какой-то момент оцифрованное, для лучшего понимания современной аудиторией. Ева Черно и Анатолий Айс в проекте Svetouch. Приятно наблюдать за родными берёзками из окна электрической «Теслы».

Московский кибернетический дуэт zarya — Татьяна Пронькина и Кирилл Чернов — представляют совершенно другую историю будущего. Манифест полного отречения от себя-биологического и поиск новой кибернетической идентичности в окружении идеально продуманных минималистичных интерфейсов. В EP «Synthetic World» от лица юной барышни нам обещают идеальный UI, который не расстроит тебя с утра своим отражением в зеркале, а UX доставит счастье мгновенного перерождения во всех точках подключения к Сети.

Магнитуда сейсмических басов рассыпается постиронизированной ртутью, в токсичных испарениях которой может выжить только синтезированная душа с селективно деактивированной сенсорикой. Об аналоге напоминают лишь глаза, а главная добродетель — наращивание, но теперь уже вычислительной мощности. Дуэт zarya и композиция «VHS».
