With Heroes, Dario is propelling us forward through sweet analog synths providing us the perfect setting for a 80s tribute with the techno sound from now.

New World is a more serious affair and gives us more grit and attitude combined with that warm melancholic synth sound.

Devoteex is giving us a rework of Heroes but takes this one to a turbulent air pocket. The air raid siren climax will do wonders on the newly reopened dancefloors.

K.A.L.I.L. returns to Sprout after making a fuss with labels like Electric Ballroom, and teams up with Spuri to deliver 3 fine tracks.

Kicking off with Belarus, this cool bassline led gem gently unfurls its dirtiness, as it intensifies, but also brightens at the same time as the melodic layers intersperse before the vocal lands to create all kinds of havoc, just before the bass slams back in to knock your socks off.

Aranda is next, and keep a similar vibe, but dubbier and tougher and this number grabs you by the scruff of your neck and throws you around the dancefloor, as mad synths and fx intersperse.

Petra rounds of the EP ,a dn has a nice bright arp sound gracing the moody bassline, before a big synth line takes us to a bit of a moment for the dancefloor!

A damn fine EP.

First track "I Feel You" it's a Progressive House song that expresses the happiness that comes from feeling the kicks of his child in the womb and second tune it is called "Heart Beat" with a background created by the sound of the child's heart, forceful bass drum and a melody that envelops you in a journey that will make you dance.

The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Circle of Life back for a new EP. The Serbian artist made his label debut just over a year ago with the well received 'Black Light'. A subsequent remix for Trapped In Time along with a contribution to the label's popular 'Technical Progress, Vol. 10' collection followed shortly thereafter. Also finding a home on Beat Boutique, BeatFreak Recordings, Suara and Sudbeat Music, Circle of Life now returns to Movement with 'Lpd' alongside remixes from Paul Anthonee and Haze-M.

Beginning with the title track you get an immediate feel for Circle of Life's unique hybrid of progressive house and techno. Punchy beats and muscular basslines set the piece in motion as ominous effects and sinister arps flow through the framework. Rough and rumbling in all the right ways, the first act smoothly segues into a tense break, where timely modulation and a rush of noise sparks a commanding drop and rousing finale. The companion piece 'Nostalgija' finds Circle of Life diversifying his portfolio further in collaboration with 'Damiana'. It proves to be a worthy complement to its predecessor with a wondrous array of dark undertones and astral synth stylings. Ghostly vocal wails sit gently under the surface as the piece builds through waves of arpeggiated rhythms and rolling percussion. Tense harmonics lead into the second of two breaks, eventually melting down to a dramatic rumble as the beats drop for a driving final movement.

The first interpretation of 'Lpd' is provided by label artist Paul Anthonee who returns for his eighth appearance. The Cyprus based artist last appeared on the Greek imprint in August of this year with a well received remix of Kostakis 'Ithaca'. Also finding a home on Beatfreak Recordings, Parquet Recordings, Steyoyoke and Suara, Paul now returns to Movement Recordings with a powerful interpretation of 'Lpd'. Always a creative remixer, Paul adds a symphonic feel to the piece with striking synth staccatos and growling effects. Rife with dance floor dynamics, a perfectly executed break sees tension and drama rise, building copious amounts of energy for a commanding drop and exhilarating finale.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Lpd' is Haze-M who makes his label debut. Highly regarded in the world of melodic house and techno, the Tunisian artist has showcased his music on Beatfreak Recordings, Eleatics Records, Stil Vor Talent and Timeless Moment. Now fresh off a remix for Artessa Music, Haze-M debuts on Movement Recordings with a rousing rendition of 'Lpd'. Drawing on the sensibilities of the original Haze-M leans closer to peak time territory, with a reworked groove and rolling rhythmic core. Kaleidoscopic arps bounce with elastic-like effects, sitting atop a layer of rumbling bass notes and perfectly setting up a break that is both illuminating and tense, before ultimately melting down to a buoyant finale. A powerful take from Haze-M, capping off another excellent offering from Tash's Movement Recordings.

PREMIERE: Circle Of Life - Nostalgija Feat. Damiana (Original Mix) [Movement Recordings]

With the world locked down, we decided to unlock our vault of hidden gems. Deep and warm tunes to deliver the heat in these cold months. 

Ata Ates kicks things off with Invisible Connection. Intricate call and response melodies, synth stabs and luscious chords are able to push the envelope of the Pursuit sound. 

Our duo Bob Tosh and Be Saint deliver to us Poetica. A jarring melody which keeps skipping and hopping, keeping you guessing where this wordless hymn moves to. 

Subgate & Joey White deliver us Astral, which could accompany a space opera with its melancholic sounds and white noise perc hits. 

Friend of the family 2088 returns once again with Connection, showcasing how he is moving from strength to strength on Pursuit. 

Siva Prayojan closes the VA with We Need Us, an ethnic Mediterranean fueled composition, leaving us longing for when the sun goes down.

Ata Ates - Invisible Connection

To start 2021 with a bang we are proud to introduce ICONYC One. The 3rd and final chapter in the ICONYC label trilogy. ICONYC One will serve straight up techno made by some of the biggest names the scene has to offer, with the objective of blending deep, granular sound design with the 4-bar rhythmic intensity and patterning that makes house and techno so club-effective.

To start this new exciting chapter, we welcome Soolver with their outstanding 3 track 'Mother EP'. Soolver who hail from Germany have seen their releases grace well-known entities like Umek's 1605, Frankyeffe's RIOT and Metodi Hristov's Set About to name a few.

We kick things off with 'Mother' a peak time melodic techno dance floor monster which features a blend of deep bass tones, driving drum programming, cleverly chopped samples and intricately laced chord progressions, building to a massive breakdown before rebuilding to an unrelenting crescendo of energetic drum beats, chord stabs and an ever-warped bassline. Mother is a club monster that growls from the minute you push the play button.

Next up is 'Verve'; a straight up techno affair that delves into deeper territory, which sees driving drums fused with chord hits underpinned by Soolver's trademark bass patterns, before all manner of varied melodies weave in and out of the stereo field to maximum effect. Fantastic stuff!

To close out the release, Soolver drop 'Jahwe' a stripped back melodic track utilizing a hypnotizing chord as the basis of the track underpinned by driving drums that gradually ease their way to the breakdown before unleashing into a rising melodic hook intertwined with the infectious groove that fades in and out for maximum effect.

Soolver's 'Mother EP' delivers influenced melodic techno beats to start the year in style and that will make everyone smile. Another essential release from ICONYC aimed straight at the soul, be ready to dance to it!
