He is a DJ producer born in the Italian peninsula, who always had a passion for deeper electronic music, and clubbing. His inspirations come from the wonderful nature that surrounds him and from mysticism. Its sound is based on dark and ambient percursions and modulations.

Salvo is constantly growing, always looking for new hypnotic and atmospheric sounds that can lead the listener on a mental journey by recreating soundscapes.

In this trip, he offers the deeper side of his visions and invites you to join him and take a leap into the abyss.

"I often myself being responsible for a film's music, but also fighting for its absence." The composer discusses movie scoring, his love of opera and his new album, Scope Neglect, on Mute Records.

The multidisciplinary Australian artist Ben Frost might best be known for his score work: he's soundtracked Netflix shows like Dark and its spinoff 1899, as well as a number of major motion pictures and video games. While his formal studies were in visual art, he started experimenting with music-making from an early age, homing in on a unique sound that is truly a melange of his influences in punk, black metal, classical and modern minimalism. His unique approach to composition has led him to some extreme places to capture field recordings, like the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Amazon rainforest and the empty hulls of fishing boats docked on the banks of Icelandic port towns. Artists like Steve Albini, Björk, Brian Eno and the band SWANS have tapped Frost to work with them, and he's performed extensively as a solo performer and as part of an A/V outfit at the world's biggest festivals and art world circuits. 

In this episode of the RA Exchange, he sits down with senior producer Chloe Lula to discuss his latest venture, a full-length album, Scope Neglect, on Mute. It pulls heavily from his proclivity for guitar music and metal, but still nods to the cinematic minimalism that has become one of his work's primary tropes. Frost dissects some of the recording techniques he used to make the record—he borrowed from the methods used by Mark Hollis of the band Talk Talk—as well as his studio practice, his love of opera and his approach to writing scores. Diapasøn, a passionate and versatile artist, has shown a deep interest in music and playing various instruments since a young age. It was in 2012 that he fully immersed himself in the world of electronic music, a means for him to fully express his passion for contemporary influences. In 2015, he founded Cosmic Wave, initially as a collective, quickly evolving into a label that he has been co-managing since 2017. A lover of vinyl, he crafts a unique sonic universe, navigating between ambient and psychedelic techno. His captivating music creates soundscapes filled with emotion and entrancing textures.

I discovered this mind blowing music in 93' hooked ever since TECHNO BEING ME LIFE I went from negative tap music to positive Techno music and the RAVE SCENE brought me to life. I'm a candy kid at heart always trying to make everyone's night a better night with glow sticks and RAVEMAN glasses and lollipops to suck on. Vicks Vapor inhaler to blow them up when rolling hard. a pacifier to grind your teeth on and a pocket full of ultra fine glitter. I love my path in life now I got old and went into FPV DRONES while listening to techno makes me soooo HIGH!! I'LL NEVER GROW UP!  Glow POI to fire POI to a crowd pleaser.  I stand out no matter what city I go to. I feel I'm the only one that listens to this incredible music.  I need unity again at a rave party. I need people around me that listen to this MUSIC. but until then I'm full of life and love EVERYONE!
