Uncompromising, Dark, Atmospheric. Techno! That’s the sound of Cortechs. It did not take long until the unique sound of Cortechs became attention in the global underground scene of techno music. After multiple releases on various prestigious labels, Cortechs earned his rightful position among the most important producers and performers of the german underground techno movement.

With his first album "The End Justifies The Means" which was released on his regular label "Machine Box", Cortechs was able to give his sound a very personal touch and gather enough raw materials to use and intuitively play with in his exquisite Ableton Live sets. Having been on tour through Germany a lot of times, he always found inspiration for producing new sounds. This new material was also the basis for upcoming projects like the "Last 13 EP" released on Steil or the collaboration with Hackler & Kuch which was released on De-Konstrukt. With remixes for Angy Kore, Niereich, Morgan Tomas, Cortechs has become an important and much requested remixer in the scene.

In 2013 even more live gigs came around. This automatically resulted in much new material again which directly found ist way into his ableton sessions . This was also the biggest influence for his next big Project, his second LP "Waste of Humanity", which will be released on Steil later this year. So if you are looking for atmospheric and massive bassline tracks, make sure to look out for Cortechs!

Andreas Fink:

Andreas wurde 1981 in Görlitz geboren. 17 Jahre später fiel er in den Bann der elektronischen Musik. Die Beats und Bässe des Kölner Warehouse hatten es ihm angetan. Schallplatten waren zu seinem neuen Hobby geworden und bis heute ist er dabei geblieben.
Seit dem Jahr 2000 spielt er in Club´s, auf kleinen und grossen Festivals quer durch die Republik.
Durch Web-Streamsender wie "Bunker-Tv", "KlangreaktionTV", "FeierTV" und "Stromkraftradio" konnte er ab 2011 noch mehr Publikum für seine Vinylsets erreichen.
Andeas schafft es mit seinem Soundspektrum immer noch Leute zu überraschen, da er eigentlich für kompromisslosen Hardtechno und dunklen Techno bekannt ist, aber dann und wann ein von Melodien durchflossenes Techhouse und Minimalset von den Turntables zaubert.

Andreas was born in 1981 in Görlitz. His first contact with electronic music was 1998 at the legendary Warehouse in Cologne. Fascinated by the residents of the warehouse, he began to buy records and started mixing. Since 2000 he plays at clubs and events in central and northern Germany. His personal highlight was his spontaneous appearance in the warehouse Bunker at Nature One 2002. Since 2008, he organized and supported events with the people of NOCAP-Events. At the end of 2011 Andreas came to small bookings in Cologne, like the Ambulance Club.

Commander Tom:

Commander Tom (real name Tom Weyer) is a German DJ and music producer.

He began working as a DJ at the "Drops SuperDisco" in Kehl in the 1980s, and also worked as a DJ at the "Rheinpark" discothèque in Germersheim in the 1990s.

In 2004, his single "Attention!", sampled from the Tom Novy vs. Eniac 1997 song "Superstar", hit #1 on the German dance music charts. It peaked at #23 in the UK Singles Chart in February 2005.[1] His most recent single "I Can't Sleep!" was released in 2006.

Seit den 1980er Jahren ist Tom Weyer als DJ tätig, zunächst in der damals beliebten Diskothek „Trianon“ in Ötigheim bei Rastatt, Baden-Württemberg. Der dortmalige Besitzer Herr Kölmel Senior sagte immer „ Er wäre der Commander an Bord seiner Diskothek“, daher dann auch der Spitzname „Commander Tom“. Danach wechselte er ins „Drops SuperDisco“ in Kehl/Goldscheuer (Baden-Württemberg) und dem dazugehörigen „Radio Drops“, in den 1990er Jahren auch in der Diskothek „Rheinpark“ in Germersheim (Rheinland-Pfalz). Er war dort einer der angesagtesten DJs für Black Music, tendierte aber mit der aufkeimenden Techno-Bewegung hin zu härteren Rhythmen.

Seit der Gründung des zur Neckargemünder Undercover Music Group (UCMG) gehörigen Labels Noom Records im Juli 1993 war er als A&R-Director für die Produktion und Auswahl der Veröffentlichungen verantwortlich und traf mit der Mischung aus Hard Trance und Acid Techno den Nerv der Szene. Noom 06 (von Tom de Luxe aka Commander Tom) wurde zu einer der bestverkauften Platten ihrer Zeit und wurde gleichermaßen in Szene-Clubs wie auch in Diskotheken gespielt. Seine erste eigene Produktion (zusammen mit DJ Peter Pan) Are am Eye erschien als Noom 13 und verhalf ihm zu weltweitem Durchbruch. Seither produzierte er unter verschiedenen Pseudonymen wie Chef New Yorker, Nexus 6, Phan-Tom, Tom De Luxe und Toronto. Außerdem war er Bestandteil der Formationen Der Tanzbefehl, The Freaquez, König Deluxe und Mandala und hatte Auftritte bei Großanlässen wie Energy (1992 bis 1996), Tribal Gathering und nahezu allen Loveparades. Ab 2001 erschien eine Remix-Reihe von Are am Eye auf Pulsive mit der Commander Tom Platz 1 der nationalen Dance-Charts erreichte. Ende 2004 schaffte er dann mit „Attention“ den Sprung auf die #1 der deutschen Club Charts und wurde zudem beim englischen Label „Ministry of Sound“ unter Vertrag genommen. In den englischen Verkaufscharts erreichte er mit dem Hit auf Anhieb #23.

What’s Up Desert Hearts Family! 

Oh man do we have a treat for you! Last year @Andreas-Henneberg was supposed to play as one half of The Glitz, but a last minute flu knocked him on his ass and he wasn’t able to make it to the festival. We’re pretty sure he started working on this Desert Hearts set during that same weekend because from the very first track he comes out swinging for the fences with the craziest intro we’ve ever heard. 

With arguably one of the most talked about sets from our 2018 festival, the word that best describes this set from Andreas is flawless.
