 Ran through the fields, never read the signs
 Mama said hush, when the wind turned still
 But the night don't listen, and the dark don't feel

 A knock on the door, boots in the sand
 Whiskey-breath wolves with fire in their hands

 But the bullet don’t care when it’s leaving the round
