Hot off the back of winning Olympus's Europe-wide Music Open competition indie pop singer Matt Muré and his formidable band of three release their debut single 'Give Me The Fear'.

The Hertfordshire born musician teamed up with local producer Steve Sears Jr, (Gallows / Kids in Glass Houses) to mix the debut effort. The single which features B-side 'Not Alone' is co-produced by the artist and his band and mastered by Pete Maher (Lana Del Ray / The Killers).

Their exciting live performance has seen them support Carl Barat, Chasing Grace, Misty Miller and The Delta Riggs. Time Out hailed them as "Anthemic" whilst NME's Mark Beaumont described their sound as "seductively melodic rock'n'roll".

Earlier this year the band took to the main stage at Frankfurt's Musikmesse after attracting the attention of the Olympus Music-Open Europe-wide competition which saw the band selected by PRS for Music UK and featured in Les Inrocks (France) and Sound & Recording (Germany).

Across two decades and 6 fine albums Oklahoma-born Essex-settled Bob Collum and his band has cut a swathe through the UK Americana scene, bringing fistfuls of well-crafted originals, superbly re-imagined covers and pin-sharp Tulsa-meets-Southend musicianship to venues up and down the country. Wasted Wonderland brings together 14 of Bob's finest songs for fans and first-time listeners alike.

It’s two decades since Bob Collum flew from the US to the delta of Essex from the US, bringing with him the music of his native Tulsa, Oklahoma.

With two Stateside albums already under his belt, Bob set about commandeering a new UK band. The Welfare Mothers were born and through extensive gigging, began to build a following both around and outside the UK.

The resulting album, 'The Boy Most Likely To..' (2004) added a potent shot of Anglophile power pop to Bob’s swinging alt-country.

A few cracked-hearts, frayed guitar strings and many a memorable live show later, 'Set The Stupid Free,' (2008) boasted melodic, Byrds-ian country-edged soul steeped in playful, crying steel guitar (provided by the legendary BJ Cole and later live by Allan Kelly)

The music that has followed over five more albums and EPs is a treasure trove of great hooks and trenchant wit. Songs of love and loss jostle with murder ballads. Slices of Western Swing share floor space with Holly-esque rockabilly. Memories of growing up in the America he left behind keep company with wry glimpses of the Essex he's made his home.

Wasted Wonderland captures the best of Bob's inimitable quicksilver writing, performed by a phallanx of excellent musicians with CVs that include Nick Lowe, REM and The Rumour.
