'Deceptive Lullaby'Ultimate Chill Mix

When I was a kid, I had the huge chance to visit Japan for a couple of weeks, and I stayed a few days in Tokyo. The overall feeling I kept from this trip is still really strong in my head, this sensation of being lost in between extreme modernity and tradition, between hi-tech buildings and antique temples.

I really wanted to picture this feeling in this track, so that you, the listeners, get there too for the time of the track.

I also had the immense chance to work with the talented japanese filmmaker Darwinfish105 to make an official video for this track (my first).

Mix Notes : This mix gets back to the roots of my preference on what I call “Chill Bangers” – Those tunes that despite the loud volume and noisy productions still keep melody and emotions intact at their cores. As usual, I am a sucker for emotional voices/ vocals and soulful Future Garage beats. So you get plenty of both in this package. No attention is paid to how old or new a tune is. Chillstep Works - Vol. 2 [2011]

Music is my therapy ...It all started with being mesmerized listening to the hypnotic beat of Kraftwerk’s “Trans Euro Express” on a tiny cassette player at a very young age and it continues to this day at an age when I have to worry about “more important” things in life.

This page is an attempt in getting back to mixing some favorite tunes and documenting my ever changing moods and tastes. Any and all comments are welcome and much appreciated.
