Premiere: Linkan Ray - Eightzeronine [BAOX11]

As a record label, we are known for releasing the music we are passionate about, without getting close to any specific trend, and more sheltered in the timelessness. Until now we have released all kinds of underground or non-conventional electronic music, music for all audiences although we know it reaches minorities.
To talk about Somatic Responses (John and Paul Healy) is to talk about real heroes of the history of the most personal, raw and abstract electronic music. They have been active since 1994, and today they continue experimenting with all their analogical stuff to compose with tremendous regularity.
After their performance in the Impersonal night of Club Agora Valencia on November 2019 and as good fans of their career, after meeting them and talking about our record project they committed to produce music for the label and here is the result.
The first release is an album in digital format and a Limited Edition of 25 custom USB Drive. In this album called "Emotions Are Modulations" you will find 15 songs of pure S.R. repertoire, with a lot of corrosive acid, destructive jungle at full speed, stanzas dismantled in reverse, opposed, hanging from the wire of a circus tightrope walker. Music that can be danced, listened to or experienced, not without a very contemporary abstract beauty.
The second part of this Somatic Responses is the sixth vynil from the label, with 5 tracks on the disc plus 4 bonus tracks, all original too... Interlinked EP...

Constant movement. We drift continuously across axes which in turn shift their position over endless layers of reference points in space. Nothing is set and fixed for eternity, except movement. An oscillator on a synthesiser never stops droning, we just open the gates and grasp its sound for a certain time. These glimpses of the continuum are what gives us, humans, the feeling of time and being alive.
Music as representation of movement and flow, and as a transformation of the elements given to us to express awe, love, and submission to the forces of nature and its beauty. This is why we are on this trip. We want to leave the white noise created around us and focus on the big, vast concept of synchronised movements. Without getting ontological, to just imagine the complexity of nature, works as a way out of the banality of the news, the who and why, and all the noise. Just observe and listen.

Joanne Forman’s Cave Vaults of the Moon created in 1987 for an exhibit of sculptures in Taos, New Mexico is a mesmerizing score for voice, Ensoniq Mirage, Juno 106, flute, guitar and effects. The playful extra-terrestrial recording wafted through the exhibit every day for its duration and then lay dormant for nearly 30 years. Unearthed now, Cave Vaults of the Moon sounds prescient and timeless, as if Pep Llopis and Iasos scored a Wicker Man remake set on Mars. Restored, remastered and cut using DMM.

Even a historical pandemic couldn't take summer hits away from our hearts. Exceptional circumstances means extraordinary compilation.

Worst Records' hall of fame welcomes new faces around the pool for a 13-stages enlightened drama. You'll meet again with the top 3 podium made of A Strange Wedding, Jacques Satre and Christian Coiffure, all rensponsible for our first three releases, building up a mesmerizing, out of season mental workout. Extending the dimension of trance towards Saint-Etienne, Del.Duc brings on a curious yet serene astral travel, and we can also count on the distant reinforcements from the Toulouse Gouffre Club crew with Jan Loup and her glitch spangled hazy dub from far futures and the new trance comer from Bordeaux, Lazuli.
Special friends are also gathering here, as Myako is sewing on thin fabric a vaporous dub in shades of grey, the one-and-only master touki Théo Muller delivers a cinematic remedy to confinement.
Liberation through hearing, it is, as borders explode with the presence of many : Yin Yang Audio in a transatlantic IDM/break jump, Forest on Stasys (aka Mental Resonance) and his tough shamanic dance, Clemens Friedrich slowing down all senses at once and JEANS, boss of Oracle Bones, speeding us up in the hyperloop.
Finally, as teamwork means a lot, we have given the pleasure to open this compilation to the four-headed Lausanne/Freiberg hydra 4POTR and their cryptic transdimensional message, and the honor of closing this pool party to the 404 trio gem from Candoblé with a fine piece of wonder.

Not exactly your usual summer compilation, nor the hits you could imagine, but surely the music you'll need under the hot sun of 2020.

One of Europe's key figures in the drum and bass music scene of the 2000s - @Sunchase - returns with his long-awaited album on Kashtan, a newly launched label from Ukraine, on 1st of December 2020.

Sunchase had numerous singles on such cult labels like Moving Shadow, Metalheadz and Hospital Records and after 10 years he finally returns to the LP format. His second album 'Timeline', just like the concept of the label, blurs the boundaries between genres of electronic music, and cannot be assigned to any particular style. The melancholic and abstract sounds give off a sense of reclusiveness, with dubstep and drum and bass rhythms peeking and sometimes breaking through to the surface, yet more often they go deeper, creating room for bass music, dub and even a slight touch of IDM, thus creating a very special state. The album as a whole appears as a voluminous, complete, and aesthetically established piece of work.

The releases of Kashtan will be executed in a rather unusual format: it will be a limited series of collectible packs, including a USB stick with music and additional multimedia content, as well as other materials. These packs can later be collected into a catalog. Also, the LP will be released digitally on Kashtan's Bandcamp page and all other known online stores.
