It was an historic night for the Dutch scene for fast music! 
A debut event by new crew Corium in the legendary club Worm. I had the honor of playing after Back to Mars and legend Mimic Vat. 

Since the closing act after me was ultra fast hitech, I wanted to do the eventname justice and bring some profound darkness! 

So the concept of my set was to offer a high contrast between the Hitech acts. Groovy, weird an powerful in the beginning, and eventually some truly mad  experimental and slambient stuff. Really nice to play a lot of favorites that are hard to place properly. (like Depuratus/Akuma/Magnetik Sadhu/Oblium/Pluriverso)

IDIOBLAST a.k.a. Mats Weel, born in 1989, had his first experience with fast psychedelic music in 2011. Instantly intrigued by how the high BPM music affected his state of mind, he started collecting music fanatically. After graduating Academy of Fine Arts in 2012 he spend numerous years experimenting with different art forms. It was not until early 2017 that he discovered his true passion behind the decks. Because of his education he has a conceptual approach to his sets and a focus on thematic track selection. He aims to deliver polished and energetic sets, and tries to find a balance between variety and coherency. 

Founded Amsterdam Blast Events in 2019.
