Took the short journey from Utrecht to Leiden to visit the family over at Maxi Radio! Once again I had a blast meeting them all and enjoying the wonderful space they have over there. This set is a reflection of that I hope. I opened the schedule so started off nice and soft with some soothing soul before working through plenty of boogie. Slowly bringing in the four to the floor deep and garage house, finally ending with some freestyle and more synth-laden funk.

We are delighted to host a very special and eclectic mix from internationally renowned veteran DJ and radio presenter, Marcia Carr. Marcia is seasoned club DJ and radio presenter, known for tearing up clubs alongside legends and upcoming stars, presenting ‘Everything Good’ on the legendary Rinse FM, curating go-to events and directing the all-vinyl, all-female DJ squad Girlz B Like. Carr has seen and done it all, since stepping on to the floor as as young jazz dancer, and remains relevant, influential and inspirational to this day. 

@ms-marcia: “Within my spirit it felt right, almost comforting to kick off this set by going back to my roots with some modal jazz then into a bevvy of fusion.  From there on the grooveline became a display of expressionism; a sense of peace fused with optimism for the future in this hedonistic bubble of a world that I inhabit.   A lot of people I know tend to hear me play a lot of electronica sounds which are more on the house and Broken beat side of the dance music spectrum.  Flexing my versatility, when I can either at specialist club nights or on the radio - variety is indeed the spice of life, it's my "get away" just like the words of the song by Earth, Wind & Fire.”

ANDY WILLIAMS — DJ Set @ 24 Hours of Vinyl

Run P. is an American DJ born, bred, and based in the city of New York whose music career has blossomed inside and outside of the booth over the last decade. He continues to carve out a path inspired by his ability to innovate and forecast whether curating the soundtrack of HBO's South Side, playing parties for Spike Lee in Brooklyn, or producing live events across the country.

By day he is a Music Supervisor, Music Programming Director at the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA), and Programming Director at the Brooklyn music venue, Friends and Lovers. By night he invigorates dancefloors worldwide playing at the intersection of House, Club, Electronic, Afrobeat, Dancehall, and Hip-Hop.  

Run is also the founder of club night, QUENCH, which has featured the likes of Bambii, DJ Tunez, Rimarkable, Quest?onmarq, Kush Jones, Foreigner and more. He's also the creator of the Afro-Latin/Caribbean dance party featuring Epic B and Uproot Andy called Algo.Riddim.

No stranger to radio, his mixes have been featured on Rinse Fr, NTS Radio, Hotel Radio Paris, Balamii, and The Lot Radio. Most recently he's become a resident for Oroko Radio broadcasting from Accra, Ghana.

Run's unrivaled talent for tapping into the pulse of the crowd has brought him to deejay throughout North America and Europe for The Face Magazine, BMW, The Infatuation, American Express, Adidas, Red Bull, Converse, SXSW, The Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival, as well as Art Basel.
