As May ends, the Meakusma radio show features a beautifully and deeply introspective mix by Carrier real name Guy Brewer. Brewer has been making music on the deeper and darker end of techno and ambient as Shifted for many years building himself a reputation as a versatile producer and DJ along the way. As Carrier he released the great Lazy Mechanics album on The Trilogy Tapes in 2023 and is preparing a series of Carrier 12inches of which the first one will be released this summer.

Evitceles has managed to build an impressive musical discography, which spreads over a multitude of electronic genres and is released across the world by labels like Opal Tapes, Yerevan Tapes, AMEK Collective and Strange Therapy. His most recent album Velvet Room just came out in April on Opal Tapes.

This mix includes his own unreleased productions from the last couple of years with plenty of exclusive brand new pieces. Distorted guitars, heavy beats, deep atmospheres and vocals that recall post-industrial and post-punk.

For years now, an old recording of Jeffrey Sfire at Cocktail D'Amore's one and only cosmic hole was one of the highest references for us in terms of downtempo Italo sleaze - an almost 6 hours recording serving more like a PhD aural dissertation specialized in some of the most remarkable dancefloor digs (mainly Europe) had to offer in the 80s at under 115BPM. To be able to share it publicly on the HAND Mix Series as we reach number 50 is a huge honor and we're greatly thankful to Giacomo and Giovanni, the two cuties behind Discodromo that made this possible. We hope you can appreciate it as much as we have over these past years. Registration is the debut album from Decollage Trax, and the second release for Idol Patterns.

Registration captures a series of mid-tempo techno excursions drawing influence from the heavy kicks of early Aphex Twin, the moody atmospherics of Sandwell District, and the syncopated tech-house workouts of the Zenker Brothers.

Far from being a monochromatic experience, the tracks on Registration shift in tone and timbre from the brooding build of Dawn, and the jacking kick drums of Infinity 758, to the melodic and contemplative Shedding, ending on the shuffled and exuberantly downcast, In Violet.
