MOTORCADE are a band from Dallas, Texas. Members include James Henderson, Andrew Huffstetler, John Dufilho and Jeff Ryan. All four members have recorded and toured relentlessly in many different projects over the years, (St. Vincent, The Apples in Stereo, The War on Drugs, The Deathray Davies, Baboon and Daniel Johnston) and now have joined together to make their debut album - proving that the whole is definitely greater than the sum of their parts.

This duo has a distinctly pop sound, all achieved with folk-minded acoustic instrumentation.  There’s a familiarity here, drawing influence from the modern and traditional Americana scenes.  The O’s delve into alt country and blues sounds as well, always bringing a strong energy to whatever they try to tackle.

Weaving thoughtful, introspective lyrics with irresistible melodies, Vanessa Peters has been releasing album after album of well-crafted folk/rock gems for more than a decade. She has played 1000s of shows across the US and Europe and has recently opened for artists like Josh Rouse, 10,000 Maniacs, John Oates, Matthew Sweet, Mikaela Davis, Lucette, and Horse Feathers.  2019 also saw her profile raise on the national music scene when she was invited to perform on NPR's Mountain Stage and at Americana Fest. 

Her latest album, "Modern Age," achieved international recognition with a month on the German indie-rock charts with her hit single, "Crazymaker" as well as a coveted berth at Ramblin' Roots festival at Tivoli in Utrecht, The Netherlands.  Vanessa's previous album, "Foxhole Prayers" (Idol Records) also received stellar reviews; MOJO gave the album 4 stars, proclaiming that "her songs have the intensity of short stories; gut-punching, laconic" and No Depression says that "her instantly accessible songs—a mix of gorgeous ballads and well-hooked rockers—come loaded with pensive, clever lyrics." 

Vanessa is currently completing her 14th studio album, tentatively titled "Flying on Instruments."  The album is expected in the 2nd half of 2023.

Dallas’s Darstar produces an edgy electro-grunge sound via low-end distortion, out-of-this-galaxy synth effects, and hard-hitting drums. Lisa Hardaway’s sweet-sounding larynx conflicts with this heavy grunge noise in creating a cacophony of musical elements whose final product ends up being somewhat of an anomaly: Dark Pop-Rock.

On November 22nd, 2011, Idol Records will release the band's debut full-length LP, Tiny Darkness, which was co-produced by John Dufilho (Apples in Stereo, Deathray Davies) and Casey Di Iorio (Valve, Valve Studios).
