Thatchers Love Child are a three piece Punk/Oi! band from Birmingham, U.K. 
Formed in late 2013 as a four piece consisting of members of recently disbanded 
bands Nasty Playground and Odious Little Shits. After a few line up changes Thatchers Love Child settled down as a three piece with Shu McVeigh on Vocals and Guitar, Ste McVeigh on Bass and Sam Jenkins on drums. After the local success of their debut E.P. 'Laces, Braces and Ugly Faces', which was recorded and produced entirely by themselves, they started work on their debut album 'Don't Point' which was released on the 3rd October 2014 and then continued to record a compilation of there most popular songs titled Greatest Hits 2014 which was released on 24th December 2014. Thatchers Love Child are a very active gigging band playing shows nearly every weekend in various places around the Midlands playing charity gigs and festivals and are very active in the fight against fascism

Started with poetry and story writing, age 12. Father and older brothers played guitar around me my whole life, but I picked up a drum kit at 14, finally gave in and started on guitar a year later. 

Ten-ish years of practice later, and I'm sitting in the back seat of my buddies car when he turns on an empty track and starts BS freestyling. First thought in my head "I cant sing for shit.. but let me write it first and i can totally do this". So, I went home and did it. Two years after that I was on stage behind a drumkit, and at other times, a guitar and mic front-manning it up. I was out on the corner by the college bars playing guitar and belting out tracks like Palmdale, Public Enemy #1, and Creepin (Solo); alongside stuff by Sublime, Pink Floyd, and even a bit of Zepplin.  Somewhere along the line I figured out I was good enough to fake it as a singer. 

This is mostly a collection of old tracks, I might upload some new stuff I've drummed for eventually though. These days my writing is focused on novels (and my Campaign ;), but you can still catch me up on stage behind the drum-kit if you know where to look.
