When suffering or malaise affect the Earth or its people, a call is put out to a group of individuals whose sole purpose is to regain and maintain planetary homoeostasis. Known as the Council of Elders, they congregate in a cavern deep under the Earth's crust known to the group as The Womb. Their work does not require external perception for validation or affectivity. Melbourne based two-piece The Fourth brings together Alexi Freeman (lead vocals, bass/guitar) and Byron Meyer (lead guitar, backing vocals, drum loops). Their music hurtles across post-punk and art rock, combining darkly romantic lyricism with haunting, atmospheric soundscapes and unique rhythms.
