Parisian DJ and producer Armless Kid joins Radio Slave’s Rekids this June with five smooth house cuts.

Armless Kid started his career in Paris’ house circuit with respected collectives like La Chinerie and Copie Blanche. Having released on the Copie Blanche label, Hustler Trax, FINA and Classic Music Company, he’s received regular support from names like DJ Harvey, Karizma, The Black Madonna, Voyeur and Fred Everything to name a few.

Kicking off the package, ‘Troiséme Actre’ mixes warm pads, cosmic synths and rattling organic percussion before the up-tempo ‘Abdos Fesier’ delivers infectious two-step drums and scintillating chord stabs. ‘Jojo On The Moon’ is next with its compelling groove complete with an amalgamation of crisp snares and clean disco vocals until ‘Air’ combines thumping kicks with a pulsating sub and mesmerising atmospheres. Finally, ‘This Generation’ utilizes a shuffling rhythm with a trippy spoken word vocal to round off the release.

‘Multiverse’ is a word used to describe an infinite group of disparate universes including the ones currently inhabited by humans. A myriad of realms that sit side by side, undetected by our senses, surround us at any given moment. The multiverse theory was first confirmed by tracking leakage of electromagnetic waves filtering from one dimension into the next. When these waves were transposed to fit into frequencies audible by the human ear, the recordings were studied by a team of scientists, who found that they contained rhythmic elements that resembled a speech pattern of an alien language.

After years of research and manipulation the audio was found to be a looping recording of an alien voice speaking the words: ‘IDWT005; coming soon to a universe near you.
