"Music is life. That's why our hearts have beats." Certain songs have the ability to remind us of certain moments or events in our lives – some that make us smile, some that makes us sad, and some we would rather forget. We can all think of at least one song that, when we hear it, triggers an emotional response. Because of this deep connection we have with music, it is of no surprise that so many studies have shown how it can benefit our mental health. For me, after every significant heartache in my life, there was a musical artist or band that healed me through it.
