Returning for Perspectives Digital's 104th release, Alexandros Djkevingr has carved out a sizable reputation with music for such esteemed imprints as Diynamic, Ellum Audio, Renaissance, Parquet Recordings, and Sincopat.  His previous signing on PD titled "Thanatos" (2020) saw an impressive debut on Darin Epsilon's label alongside Greg Ignatovich as the trio created a spell-binding melodic powerhouse.  Joining forces with MAAND, the Italian duo have overseen success since 2019 with over 70 production credits on the likes of Katermukke, Dear Deer, Lost On You, and more.

After coming together with Greg Ignatovich on 2022's "Earthling" EP for Katermukke, Alexandros Djkevingr & MAAND reprise their partnership with "Nostradamus".  Opening with a running 16th note bassline sequence and dominant, low-end kick, listener attention is quickly seized with a powerful chorus of robotic-sounding effects.  Vocal phrases and effected sounds criss-cross across the stereo spectrum in dizzying speed with a combination of growling, pitched, and bubbling noises.  Evolving through a simple synth motif and arpeggiated riff, a loquacious vocal passage delivers a message full of foreboding portents at the breakdown before a fizzing, machine-like bassline picks up the pace in the second half to powerful effect.

An artist with a noteworthy past, first as the winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition on the superstar's Last Night On Earth imprint, and second as a revered artist in his own right on the likes of Einmusika, Hope Recordings, and Timeless Moment, Kastis Torrau has been a regular on Perspectives Digital with some 30 credits spread over a 10 year period. From 2012's "Reflection" to 2017's "Antivirus" EPs, the Lithuanian artist has consistently epitomized talent in abundance and a unique sound that has made him a club favorite.  Now showcasing his Noissier production moniker after a clutch of releases on Einmusika, Upperground, and Sincopat, the Noissier remix bristles with vitality.  Trademark bassline presence arrives courtesy of a hefty new sequence that builds throughout the near 9 minute offering to a rousing denouement in the latter stages.  Making impressive use of the original components from "Nostradamus", the central motif creates an eerie tension as it loops throughout the track while the chorus of effects and vocal cuts take center stage over a powerful new remix.

Release Info: 
The album’s title, "Trip to Sanity’" – a reference to the classic German children’s story of the little dragon 'Tabaluga' – reflects Oliver's own path as a DJ within the world of club culture. But it also represents the appeal to an unbroken childlike curiosity as a producer, driven by the utopias of this parallel society. Naturally, Koletzki found his creative spark while performing on the stages of renowned festivals like Burning Man, Coachella, Garbicz, and Fusion, as well as in moments of peace and relaxation on meditative hikes and long beach walks in his second home of Cape Town.
 
In South Africa, Oliver wrote most of "Trip to Sanity" in the winter, then flashed out and finalised the tracks in his studio at Kreuzberg's Holzmarkt. Within the last 18 months a collection of complex and varied songs formed, which, typical for Oliver's collaborative approach, were often created in cooperation with musicians like techno-pop legend Fritz Kalkbrenner, Burning Man chance encounter Talmirage, scene friends Andhim, Hidden Empire, Oliver Klostermann and Niko Schwind, or the exceptional voices Natascha Polké, Malou, LOLY and Marlena Dae. The result is a rollercoaster ride through a diverse spectrum of dance music, effortlessly held together by Koletzki's unmistakable sound signature and his intrinsic sense for the exact tension between hedonistic dancefloor focus and poppy earworm impact. At the centre of it all shines a joie de vivre that runs like a thread through "Trip to Sanity": Playful, cheeky, imaginative, euphoric, a rainbow of genres and influences flow into each other, balanced by moments of reflection, melancholy or harshness.

Kamilo Sanclemente is one of the most prolific and well loved artists on the global progressive house and techno scene, delivering hit after hit for labels like Anjunadeep, Global Underground, All Day I Dream, UV, Freegrant and more. His first release on Dissident Music arrived last summer with the driving and hypnotic “Time Capsule,” which now sees new life in the form of two new remixes. First up: Dissident honcho and progressive stalwart Noel Sanger teams up with Indro Sartorio (aka Abstrakt.Digital) to kick the energy up a notch or three. They’ve put together a pumping, percussive, progressive remix with deep techno influences. A little bit of a different vibe for the guys, and well worth the price of admission. Next, Dissident regular Kaspar Tasane delivers a proper grooving progressive interpretation sure to tick all the boxes for progressive house fans. Another essential piece from Kaspar, with the sound he’s become so well-known for; he knocks this one right out of the park. The original track is a tough act to follow, and both of these versions do it justice, bringing fresh dancefloor perspectives to an already amazing tune. Micke, now a Dissident veteran, also boasts an impressive history in the underground dance scene, carving his path through the East Coast club circuit, earning residencies at iconic events like Buzz in DC before embarking on his journey as a producer and touring artist. Together, they deliver a track that captures the essence of summer—melodic, uplifting, and undeniably dance floor-ready. Modern and classic and timeless all at once - Thirteen is like a love letter to all those magic end-of-the-set moments we’ve celebrated through the years. Hold Up ft Kendra Foster is the breakout first single on Lonely C’s (aka Charles Levine of Soul Clap) debut album, Charles & Tribulations. Foster, known as a multitalented force of singer/songwriter who's toured the world for over a decade with Parliament-Funkadelic, won a grammy for her co-writing on D’Angelo & The Vanguard’s Black Messiah, most recently set forth as a solo act with her 2016 eponymous sophomore album. This may be Kendra’s first foray into house music, but she’s no stranger to the groove. This is a dance-floor classic in the making, already receiving powerful response from crowds at Soul Clap’s DJ sets. On Hold Up, Foster sings, “It's a sad and sorry thing if you gave all you got, its the day of reckoning and you ain't got a shot!”.
