Astronaut Ape & By The Rain - Starfall

"Dasvidania" (До свидания) means "goodbye" in Russian, but it is also the title of a famous autobiographical novel by Nikolai Prestia, published in 2021 by Marsilio, which recounts the difficult childhood and experiences of a Russian orphan boy in post-Soviet institutions before being adopted and moving to Italy.

Meaning of the word

Do svidaniya (До свидания): This is a formal greeting in Russian, literally meaning "until we meet again."

Dasvidania

Built from the spaces between beats. 'Stardust and Guts' emerged from letting the music breathe and find its own path - drums floating in distant reverbs, bass side-chained to synth swells instead of kicks, percussion scattered like texture rather than rhythm.

The title nods to Vonnegut's blend of cosmic wonder and human messiness. Every element here serves the whole - no forced leads, no unnecessary layers. Just response and conversation between sounds, the way ambient house should be.

Recorded with analog warmth, processed through vintage delays and hall reverbs. The kind of track that reveals new details on each listen, designed for headphones and late-night contemplation

Astronaut Ape (real name — Oleg Belousov), sound producer from Saint-Petersburg, Russia and new Microcosmos Records artist, presents his debut album called The Mirror.
Oleg started producing music in 2005 from progressive, psychedelic and goa trance. Then he switched to ambient music and entirely devoted himself to this genre.
The Mirror is a classic ambient/psychill record. It consists from 8 really cosmic tracks which definitely would be a great present for all fans of psychedelic ambient music.
