Pockets of electronic music characterized by deep, blissful breakbeats, are once again permeating the scene. Dabbling in this new wave is British DJ and producer Braxton. After joining Anjunadeep in 2019, he quickly gained recognition for a sound that blends blissful atmospheres with warm house and fractured beats. Check his latest Bedrock release alongside Steve Weston: 'Lanes' features bold drums, soaring melodies, and an epic scale that evoke the glory days of prog breaks. Here, Braxton continues his fine from with a soothing blend of progressive textures featuring tracks from Monkey Safari, Nox Vahn, Trilucid, and unreleased tracks from Braxton himself.

This month on Cumulus Sounds, we’re pumped to feature Taglo – a true standout in Melbourne’s music scene. 

Having always had a strange allure to music, Taglo found himself drawn to soundscapes from an early age. His experience of growing up living all over the world exposed him to such a wide array of music across different cultures, and when he discovered artists like Axwell, Tiesto and Deadmau5 he decided to pursue his fascination for music into something more. 

Taglo’s journey began in the cosmos of trance and over the years he began to slow things down to evolve into a deeper, progressive sound. Taglo’s soundscaping is emotive, melodic and meaningful – there’s meaning to his melodies, there’s drive. Taglo has supported heavy hitters including Above & Beyond, MaRLo, Dirty South, Cosmic Gate, Jody Wisternoff and more. He’s played at some of Australia’s most prestigious festivals, most recently including Elements Festival, Circus Paradise, Babylon Festival, FestivalX, Piknic Electronik, Anjuna’s Group Therapy Weekender and more. 

With years of experience under his belt, this Gold Coast artist now based in Melbourne is no amateur and it shows with notable releases on labels Armada, Alter Ego, Freegrant Music, Skyfall Records, Silk Music and a release on Anjunadeep’s Explorations in 2023.

In true Taglo style, his set for the June 2025 edition of Cumulus Sounds is a real treat - a blissful trek through melodic, deep, melodic and progressive.
