In such good shape nowadays, Oliver Deutschmann delivers an outstanding remix of Acid On Mars pushing the limits of Warehouse Techno & Jackin' House faded with warm & hypnotic Detroit chords and space-pads.

As the name indicates, Minneapolis legend Freddy Fresh delivers an Ethereal Mix of Before Deep full of nostalgic dreamy synths reminding us of his 1995 'Return To Phantazia' vibes.

Last one is coming from prolific ASOK bringing a raw and banging rework of Be Apart based on 808 electro beats & breaks combined with a crunchy bassline.

The title track delivers a dark, raw composition of surging stabs sway erratically, following their own unpredictable tempo. Black Sky truly shines, however, during its moody breakdown, through to the intense and sudden re entry. Truly a peak time rumbler.

The deep, rolling bassline behind Revival is contrasted by its rigid percussive elements, persistently evolving as it tirelessly reaches it’s stripped back, ethereal climax.

Across the 3 distinctive sections - ‘Low’, ‘Mid’, ‘High’- ‘Frequencies’ provides a snapshot of a perfect Bedrock party, in the form of yet another musical masterclass from the Bedrock boss as he takes the listener on an unrivalled, evolving journey from start to finish.
The album features spectacular exclusives from Emerson, Digweed & Muir’s collaborative project, the legendary Robert Babicz, and supremely talented label regulars Guy J, Stelios Vassiloudis and BOg. But, as with all the best compilations, it’s also about featuring amazing music and giving a platform to up and coming artists, reaching across continents to fully represent the truly global nature of today’s thriving scene. There’s a delicious label debut from rising Indonesian artist Lily Pita; Thailand's most prominent underground techno DJ, Nakadia, teams up with the mischievous dark prince, Lee Van Dowski; a sublime cultural fusion of western electronics and eastern melodic sensibility from Brooklyn-based Israeli Etai Tarazi. ‘Frequencies’ welcomes the respected Pacha resident DJ Alex Kennon, whose genre-bending creativity sits perfectly here; there’s two melodic masterpieces from Italian duo Fideles; rising star Lehar, from Diynamic’s impeccable roster, is on remix duty; there’s the super-intricate swing of Joris Biesmans. Bournemouth-based Lee Williams makes his Bedrock debut; whilst hotly-tipped French duo Tim Baresko & Clyde P channel the spiritual vibe of a nascent 1987 Chicago house scene with their cleverly acidic ‘Throwback’. Most South Africans know Diamond Dealer as the DJ from Bloemfontein, where he started his career, playing deep African house music in the heart of the townships. His stunning Bedrock debut, the bass-heavy, rhythmically infectious ‘Little Hungry Monster’, and his hugely impressive acidic interpretation of Emerson, Digweed & Muir’s ‘Tracer’, will undoubtedly turn heads worldwide.

Toronto’s classically trained Glenn Morrison, Tokyo’s richly imaginative Satoshi Fumi, and Germany’s brotherly duo Monkey Safari, all make highly impressive returns to the label. But, interestingly, it’s the strength of the numerous collaborative studio partnerships that is perhaps even more revealing. There’s an incredible Latino Detroit fusion of styles from Vancouver-based Andromo, who joins forces with much respected USA scene stalwart Chris Fortier. ‘This Just Then’ marks this duo out as a future creative force to be reckoned with. The excellent production tag teams keep on coming: Austria’s Philipp Straub joins forces with Sweden’s Charlie Thostenson; Germany’s collaborative kingpin, Nils Nuernberg, teams up with Stelios Vassiloudis; Germany’s multitasking maestro Martin Eyerer with fellow countryman and techno-meister Patrick Chardronnet; then there’s BOg and Cologne’s Tim Engelhardt. Yet another bright new star on the techno horizon is Holland’s Rob Hes, who joins up with the up-and-coming LAAT to raise the techno temperature on CD3 to new heights with their intense ‘Perseverance’.

KAYF LIMITED is back with a dub and deep techno stomper for its second release, Real. Label founder and head-honcho Artur Nikolaev steps up with a 3 track EP with an fresh, intelligent melodic sound, featuring Romanian Producer Egal 3 (aka Vid) on remix duties.Making Souls' is beautiful, opening the release with a hypnotic, laid back dub techno vibe full of twisted vocal effects and fresh driving drum patterns. My Turn' kicks the EP up a notch and will do damage. Superb synth stabs lifts the groove level as the track builds into deep tech, never-ending voyage. Without Ego' has two edits. The original is an excellently produced avant-garde piece of music, peppered with swirling, acidic and robotic vocals. The Egal 3 remix is twelve minute extraction of the original with even more of those lush vocals layered through, that breaks out into a sublime breakdown before returning back to a divine and infectious, punchy baseline.

Premiere: Mark Greene - What Did You Just Give Me?

Berlin based DJ, producer and label owner Oliver Deutschmann announces his debut album. 'Out of the Dark', will be released on vidab records in March, 2013. 
Oliver runs vidab with label partner Stephan Hill, together curating an impressive catalogue of quality, raw and analog-infused house and techno. He also created the Falkplatz label as a further outlet for his energetic A&R tendencies.
Firmly established in the underground, Deutschmann has stood behind his unique brand of 4/4 beats for more than a decade; a permanent fixture at Panorama Bar for over 4 years with his dubby, pushing house vibes, old school drums, intense peaks and driving modern dramatics. 
Developing a strong signature sound, Oliver translates real emotion and atmosphere into his productions, with bold, crisp and powerful drums, resonant, textural synthlines and a stylish talent for keeping things locked down to hypnotising effect. 
Each element coming to life through his analog recording chain, the results we find on '… Dark' are Deutschmann's most precise, powerful and honest yet. From the bold intro of 'Fever', with its soaring 80s synth vibes, a string of incredibly crisp tracks unfolds, reaching early heights with the futuristic story telling of 'New World Order', then swooping into the depths with the melancholic 'Sadness Descends'.
The first single to be released from the album will be three remixes. This pre-release single will be packaged with reworks from fellow vidab conspirators Tomas Svensson, Hiver and Stephan Hill.
One of his first releases on vidab, 'Siem Reap' receives a new treatment for 2013 and comes on as strong as ever, an exercise in reduction in the classic Detroit-meets-Berlin tradition. While 'L.O.V.E' employs a similar heads-down approach, yet at a slower pace, creating one of the most heated club moments on the album.
Binding it all together is Oliver's distinctive use of building synth lines, each carefully tuned synth melody filtering, overlapping and shimmering through the lovingly produced tracks. 'Die Tiefe' is a perfect example of this then, or the surging epitaph of 'They Bleed Glitter', with its tearily beautiful and simple wash of synth melodies.
'Out of the Dark' is Oliver's personal response to the world around him. Indeed, its a tough world sometimes, and just like the music within, we're often reminded it can be a beautiful, and inspiring one too.
Oliver Deutschmann kicks things off with the official release party at Panorama Bar on February 24th 2013 - the album tour will then run throughout the summer.
