The Quintet Igor Palmieri Jazz5tet is composed of an instrumental ensemblethat follows, loving it, the historical formations of the tradition of classical, cultured jazz groups of mid-1900.
The shapes of cool jazz and blues blossomed in the early '50s and enlightened by the tireless researchers and creative connoisseurs of harmonic and melodic music like Stan Getz, John coltrane, Dexter Gordon and Johnny Griffin (just to name a few) remain nowadays one of the highest stylistic patterns appeared during the last century. In an era of Jazz Virtuoso and especially Academic, the composure and the harmonic  and cool style, seem to be truly surreal qualities. The groups' repertoire is based mostly on standard and some original compositions, based on those models of style.

 My father and grandfather lived right off of Jamaica Ave in the vicinity of Queens Village/Bellerose.  I grew up north of the City in various small places in NY State.
I've earned foreign and domestic royalty income from network TV and radio. I've opened for internationally known jazz  icon(Dave Brubeck)with drummer Steve Chanin (Steve is mentioned in the book "Otis Redding - An Unfinished Life, because of his connection to Phil Walden of Capricorn Records), and bassist Mack Gordon, both of Macon, GA , worked with Jaimoe,  worked with Donn & Larry Finney who were the horn section for the Gregg Allman Band circa 1982, worked with Irv Cox (tenor saxophonist with Louis Jordan & session player for Jefferson Starship on their hit Miracles 1975), worked with Baatin  www.baatin.com(multi-instrumentalist member of Parliment/Funkadelic).
