SD released “Sacrifice”, the first single off his highly anticipated forthcoming project today, via iHipHop Distribution. Over a bass-heavy soundscape, the Trauma Tone-produced track lyrically touches on the risks taken and sacrifices made in order to forge a new path. SD is currently putting the final touches on his  long-awaited new project, to come this year - stay tuned for more to come from SD!

As told to Fake Shore Drive, SD says, "In life we all make sacrifices to reach goals we set.  If we don't learn how to do that, our goals and dreams become the sacrifice.  I've had to make a lot of changes and those sacrifices helped me create the life I've always wanted." 

SD is from the windy and dismal streets of Chicago where he, Chief Keef, Fredo Santana and Lil Reese, created a movement that continues to influence a generation. He found success at a young age in carving out his own identity my creating a niche style of hipster, cool kid rap, gangster rap with features and videos with the likes of Chief Keef, Danny Brown, Riff Raff and more.  He attributes his success to a mature outlook on life, due to growing up on the war comparable, tumultuous streets of Chicago.

As an independent artist, SD has released a three-volume mix tape titled Life of a Savage I, Life of a Savage II, and Life of a Savage III, all of which were successful and critically acclaimed releases.  In late 2014, SD released his debut album Truly Blessed on iHipHop Distribution, which broke down musical barriers for rappers from Chicago and also achieved personal milestones he set for himself. In 2015, SD released the fourth installment of his highly successful mixtape series Life Of A Savage 4 as well as Just The Beginning. In retrospect, SD says that his driving force in his life is his daughter, who shows him a higher purpose.

At just 19 years-old, Delaware native Lil West is putting his home state’s hip-hop scene on the map. Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, Yutes are effortlessly blending Jamaican dancehall, reggae and trap music. As brothers growing up in Kingston, Santris and ChrisNewImage were exposed to music from an early age, as their father is renowned dancehall artist Mr. Lexx. Although they’ve traveled back-and-forth to visit relatives throughout the years, Yutes has recently moved to the US to pursue music fulltime. The A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution present the highly anticipated, next installment in their annual compilation series. A3C Volume 8 celebrates the 14th anniversary of the Festival and the eighth year that the Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution have collaborated to bring listeners this renowned series. 

The previous editions of the A3C compilation have included numerous, future prominent artist’s in hip-hop, allowing the series to receive recognition from numerous outlets, with editors from Apple Music stating, “The A&R rep has done a commendable job, cherry-picking some of the most promising, would-be rap stars from countless wannabes,” said editors from Apple Music. The compilation series has introduced numerous artists, to fans of the genre, who have established themselves as staples in the hip-hop marketplace. Past compilation artists include G-Eazy, Curren$y, A$AP Rocky, Yung Bans, Action Bronson, Vince Staples, Kodie Shane, Buddy, Smoke DZA, Rapsody,Dave East, Freddie Gibbs, Lucki, Thouxanbanfauni, Trademark Da Skydiver, Mick Jenkins, Sir Michael Rocks, Robb Bank$, and Jimmy Wopo, among others.
Atlanta’s own TheGoodPerry joins the ranks, as his new track “Down Lo” is the latest single from A3C Volume 8 which premiered today via HotNewHipHop. Perry is often thought of as the driving force behind Lil Yachty's most acclaimed tracks as well as the overall imagery that made Yachty so popular.

TheGoodPerry has produced numerous songs for Lil Yachty including the platinum hit "One Night" (2016). Casual fans of Yachty will recognize him from his standout feature on the track "Wanna Be Us" from Yachty's breakthrough project Lil Boat, as well as "Such Ease" from Summer Songs 2. He additionally produced the notable "Running with the Ghost" from Yachty's 2017 major label debut Teenage Emotions. At the end of 2017, following a stint on Quality Control, Perry was forced to change his moniker (then known as 'Burberry Perry') to 'TheGoodPerry' due to a highly-publicized lawsuit with the iconic British fashion company. 

As he moved from behind the boards and began transitioning into a front-running artist from the South in 2018, TheGoodPerry's unique sound was noticed by the legendary Rick Rubin, who immediately signed the 22 year-old to American Songs. With plans for an EP release early this year and his debut album slated for mid-2019, TheGoodPerry is now putting his talents on full display with "Down Lo," a melodic single which will also be included on this year's A3C Festival compilation series, A3C Volume 8 due out in February. According to Perry himself, when asked about his inspiration for creating the track, “I always wanted to make a twerk song, so I did.”  A3C Volume 8 will be available worldwide on February 22, 2019.

TheGoodPerry - Down Lo (from A3C Volume 8)

Hailing from Madison, WI, 20 year-old Trapo is often regarded as one of the hottest independent artists in the country. Self-described as literally living in the studio, Trapo began recording and mixing his music from his bedroom in the fifth grade. When his debut mixtape,The Black Beverly Hills, arrived in late 2015, it quickly garnered ‘best new artist’ designations from Pigeons & Planes and BBC Radio 1. He followed the successful project with the quick-strike EP, SHE, spawning the hit single “Chicago,” which rose to No. 2 on Spotify’s Global Viral Tracks chart in April 2016. Trapo's follow-up album, Shade Trees, released in November 2016 would continue to earn him praise and he has become a rare member of Pigeons and Planes' 20 Under 20 list for three consecutive years in a row. Trapo rounded out 2018 with a highly-regarded EP, Oil Change.

Next up is Miami-based artist Yung Simmie. Having built his foundation as part of the ahead-of-its-time Raider Klan, alongside Spaceghostpurrp, Denzel Curry, and Xavier Wulf, Simmie began branching out in the early 2010s to establish himself as a solo artist. Known for his steadfast delivery and ominous beat selections, Simmie quickly became a notable figure in his state's growing underground scene. With a handful of mixtapes released under the Raider Klan umbrella, Simmie's 2013 mixtape Basement Musik put him on the map, drawing comparisons to Three 6 Mafia's early work. Simmie's next projects, both part of his Shut Up and Vibe series respectively, gained him traction on Billboard's Emerging Artist chart and he had become a collaborator of Robb Bank$, Pouya, Cashy and Denzel Curry, just to name a few.  Simmie's output remained unwavering, as he dropped tape-after-tape and song-after-song leading to 2017's Big Smokey project, which marked his last release as part of Raider Klan. After releasing numerous well-received singles in 2018, Simmie returns with his first single of 2019, the HighAF-produced banger "Easy."  Over a dark beat filled with a thumping bass line, Simmie flexes his lyrical ability in a nonchalant manner, indeed making it seem effortless and easy to him. The hard-hitting track will be found on A3C Volume 8, which will be available worldwide on February 22, 2019.

After a successful lead-off release with Clever’s “Madness,” iHipHop Distribution and the A3C Hip-Hop Festival return today with the second official single from A3C Volume 9, “Drippin,” courtesy of the Atlanta legend, Lil Scrappy.

Produced by Louney G, “Drippin” is an energetic offering that finds its sonic footing in a dynamic trap instrumental. The track premiered today via HipHopDX.

While Scrappy is a fan-favorite of the hit cable TV show Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta, he is an entertainment hyphenate whose television persona acts as a garnish to his successful music career. Initially discovered by Lil Jon, Scrappy manifests the Atlanta ethos through an unparalleled grind, resulting in a bevy of projects and singles, and has cemented his place in hip-hop lore with iconic tracks -- including “Money In The Bank” featuring Young Buck and Crime Mob’s “Knuck If You Buck.”

Although the A3C compilation series is best known for showcasing new talent, the series also has a history giving a platform for hip-hop’s veterans to showcase recent work. In previous years, Dead Prez, Bun B, RZA, U-God, Kool Keith, Cannibal Ox, and M.O.P., among others, shared their latest music on the compilation series.
