Né en 1974 à Dakar, au Sénégal, Cheikh Bounama Coly aka Daddy Bibson (ou Bibson) commence dans le rap africain en 1988. Plus tard, il fait la connaissance de Xuman avec lequel il fonde, en 1993, le groupe Pee Froiss : “Pee” (comme Possee qui veut dire le groupe) et “Froiss” (de “Froissé”). C’est avec ce groupe qu’il enregistre sa première cassette, Wala Wala Bok (1996)...
Plus tard, Daddy Bibson quitte Pee Froiss pour former avec Keyti et Deug Iba le groupe Rap’Adio (ou Rapadio), tout en collaborant avec d’autres crews, comme Squad Index (avec Maxi Krezy, Mc B) et Billy The Number 4. Quelques temps après la sortie de Ku weet xam sa bopp en 1998, il quitte Rap’Adio mais continue avec Index Squad. En 2003, il retrouve son pote Xuman pour l’enregistrement de l’opus Frères ennemis, puis sort successivement S.D.F. et Jassbu (2004), Ay Jundiou (2006), Sant Rek (2008) et Miza jour (2011). 
En 2012, Daddy Bibson annonce qu’il arrête le rap : “Je ne sens plus le contact avec mon public. Les choses ne sont plus ce qu’elles étaient. Nous sommes en train de vieillir, j’ai bientôt 40 ans, j’ai une femme et des enfants, il faut bien que je passe à autre chose”, dit-il dans un entretien à l’Observateur du Sénégal. Mais la passion de la musique est beaucoup plus forte, et Daddy Bibson enregistre la même année Vikt’wr (Enquête +), et en 2014, de retour d’un séjour aux Etats Unis en 2014, il lance le 5 avril au G Hip Hop (Guédiawaye Hip Hop), dans la banlieue de Dakar, sa mixtape Philadelphia History dont “Leup tay” en featuring avec Nitdoff et Sir Jamal.

Alhamdulilah I was blessed to make hajj this year with Ihya tours, we had a beautiful intimate group along with Sh Yahya Rhodus, Dr Shadee Al Misry, and Mufti Yusuf.  I miss all my hajj buddies.  May we all come back over and over again
