When I Know What You Know (Father & Son)

Edith Haisman died in 1997. At the time she was Britain's oldest survivor of the Titanic disaster. On reading her obituary I was taken by her description of the sinking and her last image of her father. In 1993 she was presented with her father's pocket watch which had been recovered during a salvage operation by RMS Titanic Inc. The watch was loaned to her "for life".

The Blue Mountains of New South Wales have been an inspiration for many of Jim’s songs. He has lived there for almost two thirds of his life.

Some of these songs are direct responses to the unique beauty and grandeur of the
Mountains. Jim values living there, enjoys walking in the bushland and has developed a loving respect for the place he calls home. He is continually excited by what he sees and hears around him. There is always something new to learn about the Mountains.

I am a retired teacher from Sydney, Australia who enjoys a wide range of music - singer/songwriter, folk, country, Australiana, rock, jazz, Celtic, classical and world music. I am happy playing, performing, composing and collaborating.

I played bass in Dirranbandi bushband for more than 20 years and have played rock'n'roll, country rock, singer songwriter and 50/50 dance music at various times over the past 45 years. You'll find traces of all these styles in my original songs.
