Due to the large psytrance movement that has occurred in Mexico in the past decade, arises the need to have a label that supporting new talent and they projection worldwide.

Ikal Balam Music is born and is created by  Axer aka Fernando Macias and Kya aka Katia Preciado, they worked for several years devising the best way to achieve maximum projection of its artists and to have the best sound quality and image  and so IKTAL BALAM Label is  established in 2015. Unlike many other labels, IKTAL BALAM Label has been motivated  for the great talent of its people, that have an enormous appeal to artists from all areas of expertise including music, design, architecture, theatre, dance and everything that helps the evolution of imagination and creativity.

Hence the name "iktal balam" is based on roots of culture in Mexico, means jaguar spirit, in Mayan culture.

Axer born in Mexico, in 1987 studied the career of  degree in music composition and digital audio , he is  Talent Audio Designer Producer Composer.  Since the beginning Axer, knew that Iktal Balam Label could succeed only if he chooses each artist with extra care, examining every aspect to see if they belong in the Iktal family. Thus all the artists and dj's you see in our website were picked one by one, after proving to be not only excellent artists but also great people.
