Chula aka Donna C, has been working as a part of the great duo Methodical Rage with fellow member Tammy Jones for about two years as of 2012. She is a trained vocalist from jazz to classical genres. Chula has been writing and doing cyphers for the past eight years. She is definitely the Aries woman her sign dictates and wears her emotions and heart on the mic. Chula has also written as thepeacewithin on writtenimages.org, written as browneyedchula on soultry.org and as Chula La Poeta most recently for the year 2012. Her mission is to invite all of the world into the writings and thinkings of a poet unbridled and passionate about life! Her greatest influences are James Baldwin, Zora Neale Hurston, Henry Dumas and Gil Scott Heron.  Chula welcomes one and all to her tracks, and has the strongest belief that you will see the world according to messages she brings. All music is completely donated. This is not for profit but for peace.

As her name implies, TwinSpirit is not about conventions. In fact, she might rather you see both sides of a thing just so you can truly know where you stand.

From where I stand, there is much to sing about.

The caged bird sings songs of hope and freedom. The battered sing songs of grief. But what about birds and men who fly free?

This is where you might find her. Part songbird, part revolutionary, part medicine woman... a human being...just "being".
