Hollywood birders Harry and Tom deliver four DJ unfriendly tracks aimed squarely at the parish hall. Sonic forage-ables and contemporary barndance to storm cruck frames across the Tunbridge Wells - Pontypool connection.

‘Drum, Botany & the Brash’ is the product of six months of outings and studio sessions by Forest Casual, a collaborative project by Harry Murdoch and Thomas Morley. These songs assemble nocturnal field recordings, barely metric rhythms, the May Day dawn chorus, wilted bouzouki and wood-pigeon wub. Two heads colliding to create a third, completely distinct from its makers.The resulting four tracks are dub infused soundsystem folk for the funglist massive, just don’t call it Folktronica. Entrenched in the music are many musical tangents explored in Harry’s basement, anecdotes of work and play on the ropes, and memories of jumping fences and squinting at woodpeckers. 

Harry Murdoch makes music as hmurd and has released with TT Label, Gin & Platonic, All Centre and more. He co-runs the label Cherche Encore and is in the band Hard On Yarn Sourdonk Communion. Harry is chronically ill. He mostly makes music with code.
Thomas Morley is a free improviser currently exploring composition by experience and relationship. He is 1/2 of microband ‘mosspit’ and provides side-person duties for artists in need of pads and foley. Hailing from South Wales, Tom finds catharsis by abseiling on heritage buildings and playing 5-string banjo.

Our first release for 2025 is ‘Tokyo Ice Age’, a new EP from Prettybwoy. 5 warped club tracks, packaged with remixes from aya and Proc Fiskal, artwork by Downstate and mastered by Raphael Valensi.

‘An ice age is a cycle of roughly 100,000 years that Earth has been undergoing for at least the past million years. I’ve been reflecting on these cycles and the way life resets or disappears over time. When my grandmother passed away, I found old photographs and handwritten documents—faded pieces of history that offered me a brief glimpse into my family’s past. Ways of living, even since my own birth, are changing rapidly, and many things are being lost or disappearing forever.

The term "Ice Age" also refers to Japan’s Employment Ice Age, a period between the mid-90s and early 2000s, following the collapse of the country's 'Bubble Economy.' During this time, many young graduates and displaced workers struggled to find stable employment. The generation impacted by this era, known as the "Lost Decades," is often referred to as the ‘Lost Generation’ or ‘Ice Age Generation.’ I belong to this generation.’

@casanora announces a new EP ' The Year of the Jellyfish " - Lead single "Dealer of the Sea' Casanora takes us into flowing worlds.

In this EP Casanora dives into the deepest waters - a sound that swims, that floats, that flows and falls, that carries itself with the current of thought. The sea breeze of Puglia mixes with the gentle warmth of the Mediterranean light and the soothing purr of her main coon cat letting the water glide through its fingers. The EP draws us into the depths, where the jellyfish's calm dance lets us glide weightlessly through the water and transports us to another world. This is not about fast tempo, but about the beauty of drifting off.

'Dealer of the Sea' is more than a first preview track - it is the gateway to a new world. A call from the depths of the ocean - a place where anything seems possible, a splendid example of Casanora's unique sound. A hypnotic pulse that pulls into the body and lets you feel the current as the sounds wash over the listener like waves. The ocean becomes a trading partner, the wind a familiar companion. While the bass vibrates and the sounds roll like waves onto the shore, the music floats and we lose ourselves in a maelstrom that leads us into a deeper, reflective dimension.
