Among the four great masters of Japanese haiku, Kobayashi Issa was the most prolific: during his lifetime he wrote over 20,000 haiku, hundreds of tanka, and several haibun. If you want to find out more about this prolific author I suggest you check out this database of his haiku.

The Pied Piper

The source material for this week's Disquiet Junto's prompt reminded me of a non-existent movie: A couple in a car stops at a railroad crossing in the middle of nowhere. The camera slowly zooms out of the vehicle through the window pane. You can only see her talking and get an idea of what she’s saying only by looking at his reactions. 

I tried to write a soundtrack for that moment (which would be too long for a regular movie). The gear: S&A Spectres, Teletone Ondine, Felt Instruments Nisko, and an old Gleetchlab 3.0 experiment from 14 years ago.

The right side was made with a meaty and glassy combo instrument using Pigments and Falcon. 
Following the approach of the original track on the left, I made a sparse arrangement, with plenty of air and spectrum for future collaborators.
